Purchased this to go in Bell Tent to help keep us warm for son two dogs and myself. The seal on front door is great and so far is performing like a champ. Testing out in a rare 1 degree southern Texas day and we are warm and toasty. Will see how it performs in March in the mountains.

This little stove puts out some serious heat!
I love how everything fits and stores inside the stove when not in use. Seems to be very solid construction, had no issues with warping from heat. It's a bit on the heavy side but I don't think anyone can find a better stove for the price!

This is a awesome stove but make sure you test it out prior to reaching your destination. The chimney is designed for top exit wall tent not side exit - so get the correct fittings from your larger big box retailers. We struggled but finally made it work and had a great time around a nice warm fire (lucky we had a backup heater)

Awesome Stove

I've had this stove for 5 years and I cook on it all the time. You should know that if you get it really hot and cook in a heavy dutch oven directly on the top, it will start to sag in the middle and you won't have a flat top anymore. I got a grate from an oven that is a couple of inches wider than the stove top and put on it to set the dutch oven on and it stopped the sagging but I haven't figured out how to  fix the sag unless maybe with a torch and a bottle jack.  I LOVE the stove though! I would not hesitate to get another one.

I love this stove!

Heavy duty stove. Good for car camping. Your not going to pack it very far, it's heavy. Have had several fires in it over the last couple of weeks. Burns nice. Lots of heat to keep warm. Best to start fire in the very back of the stove. There is a better draft and less smoke at the door when it is opened. Good draw with a hot fire. One negative. The legs do fall off. I drilled holes completely thru the legs and the mounting tube and installed locking 1/4 inch hitch pins. Works great and I don't have to worry about the legs falling off.
Just store the pins in the stove with the legs when I am ready to pack it up. Nice large cooking surface. We have cooked several meals on it. Use cast iron cookware. It's nice to have a fire at camp and not get smoked out.

Burn hot, reduces build up in pipes and less cleaning! Good stove, ideal for canvass tents with stove jack (a real one!), well ventilated garage or small cabins.

Great Stove

I have the alpine tent stove. I usually use it for hunting and camping in the cold months.  It warms my wall tent well.  Each year I take the Boy Scouts winter camping. We do all the cooking in the stove, from stew to popcorn. I also place a nice roast in a Dutch oven with carrots and potatoes.  It is delicious.  I've only had one problem with the stove build and that is on the first or second use, the weld on the leg pipe which holds the tightening nut broke.  I have been unable to replace or repair it, so one of the legs is loose when moving the stove.

I just want to say this Stove Is awesome it is run 22 hrs a day in the winter to warm home and to cook on all I wish is that you could buy replacement parts like the Pipe and mesh spark stopper all in all a awesome stove heater! bought 1 in 2 years for the BF and its working great. I may be buying another kit just for replacement parts since I cant find them. as replacement parts are so hard to find 4/5 stars

Awsome Stove

I'm happy with this Purchase.  Stove makes winter camping possible.  
Top does not warp, The Welding Fab is Good.  It's Heavy and Holds the Heat.  Stove Drafts Like it has a fan! Long Length Holds Large Wood. 
Here are some ideas for Improvements:  3" Metal Wheels on Bottom. Add Folding Handles.  Bend a 2" 90° on piece of Steel/Aluminum to use as a Poker, Make sure fit inside.  Use a punch set to label Chimney Pieces so they are 1/1,2/2,3/3, etc..Add 1 Pg Manual with Tips. Add Spring Loaded Clips (see pic) to Legs or they fall out while moving.  Add Fiberglass Gasket to door & Air Vent or stove sucks air and burns wood in 1 hour.    Add a set of Welding gloves, Hatchet, Mini Torch, and Fire Starters or Fatwood to your kit.

Good Stove, Good Price, Needs a few Tweeks

It is lightweight compact, but when put into a wall tent on a hunting trip, the wind blows lift the top of the wall up, pulling pipe out of stove. There's nothing to connect the pipe to the stove to keep the pipe from pulling out of the stove It is a very bad design should have collar on the stove top so at least you can pin pipe to the collar on top of stove
