I purchased this as an additional body (currently own 5D MK iv) to my current kit primarily to use with the 100-400 EF L IS II lens because of the smaller pixel size allowing me to gain 640mm equivalent focal length with no image quality loss. I have to say this camera does a fantastic job with near and distant subjects. The autofocus acts very similarly to the 5D (after some fine tuning of the settings), the metering is spot on and the noise at higher ISO's is very low. I do mostly nature and wildlife photography and shoot the 90D in manual with Auto ISO 90% of the time. Even some of the shots I have taken at 6400 ISO are crisp and clear.

Really like this camera so far. Considered waiting for the EOSR-5 but I really like the crop sensor cameras. This is my third one. I shoot mainly birds & wildlife in the summer from our pontoon boat and mainly macro & still life in the winter in Ohio. This camera works wonderfully for me. I love the fast shutter speed and being able to shoot at higher ISO. Plus the rotating screen is a must for me. At 72 with RA getting down & back up is very difficult so this screen and a Platypod work great , even sitting it on the ground or over my head I can still see what I am getting. For now I will stick with DSLR'S.

How Much I Love The 90D

I am a professional photographer in business for close to 30 years. This is my 6th Canon EOS Camera. It is excellent as expected. It has allowed me to improve the quality of my still photography with some of the new features. I've been using the Canon Vixia line and other Canons for video for the past twenty years or so with complete customer satisfaction. I'll be using this 90D for 4K video as well as still photography. So far everything has been great. I'll will probably purchase a second one.

Canon 90D exceeds expectations for my pro use

I have been shooting Nikon for the last 12 years with my last camera being a Nikon D7000. I had outgrown it years ago and lost interest in photography. My Nikons were great cameras but I was never truly in love with them. I had always longed for the perfect Canon color science. Fast forward, I decided on the Canon 90D because of its great specs and fair price. At this price point I do not see a better option, whether full-frame or ASP-C, DSLR or mirrorless. Build quality is good, feeling robust yet light and more ergonomic than other Canons I have held in the past. I'm impressed with the kit lens. It is sharp throughout its range and is very smooth. Autofocus is fast and accurate, light years beyond my Nikon D7000, which is expected having been released nine years later, but is a very welcome relief. I especially enjoying being able to focus and snap photos using the touchscreen. The image quality is outstanding. The Canon color science is everything I dreamt it would be. The images are beautiful, creamy yet sharp. They look like they could have been shot on 35mm film which I love. To my eye, Canon's images look much better than the artificial looking images that are becoming the new normal in camera systems like Sony, Fuji, and Olympus. I especially like taking portraits with this camera as it produces beautiful skin tones. High ISO is amazing and produces minimal grain. I'm very impressed how far high ISO has come since I bought my last camera. The menus and controls can be confusing at first but once you get the hang of them they are a breeze. The touchscreen has a gorgeous display and it is a lot of fun to use. I love that I can change exposure or color settings with a simple touch. It also comes in handy for videos and selfies. The automatic scene settings on this camera produce beautiful images at times when I don't feel like setting the camera manually. This camera was the upgrade I needed to rekindle my passion for photography and I have absolutely zero regrets about this purchase. My only regret is not buying a Canon camera sooner.

Everything I hoped for and more

Last EOS was Rebel XL,  obviously, great leap forward. Short time using this camera, but pictures are sharp, crisp and easy. Manual settings are a breeze, automated settings are great. Learning this camera has been very easy, intuitive and natural.
So happy.

Great Camera

Upgrading from a Canon T2i, which I purchased a decade ago, the leap in technology is staggering. Despite the much more vast amount of capabilities the 90D has, the menu system is very organized and clean and it has not taken me long to find my way around the camera.  The ergonomics are everything you can expect from Canon, very comfortable to hold, even for long periods of time.  The performance of the image sensor is simply incredible, especially in low light and high ISOs, the image noise is more than manageable. Want to make a time-lapse? 90D can do it.  Want to shoot at 120 fps? Th 90D can do it, albeit without autofocus or sound.  Want to focus stack an image?  The 90D can do it?  It may not be the latest and greatest, but it is great at everything it does and there isn't much that it cannot do.

From T2i to 90D

After months of researching the best camera for my needs, the EOS 90D kept coming to the top and so I made the leap and purchased it.  I was concerned since I am using it for steaming my classes and for creating videos but the instructions are easy to follow and there is so much help available on YouTube that I was up and streaming my Zoom meetings as fast as the battery was charged. 
I am even excited about taking pictures now.

I feel great about this purchase.

Fantastic Camera for someone with some experience. I had been shooting with a rebel t3 since it was new. This new camera has been amazing for sports photography which I do as a volunteer. However, this is NOT a beginner camera. It took me a few sessions to get a handle on it shooting in high speeds. I love the wifi capacity, though uploading photos, particularly in raw takes a VERY long time. Absolutely love that I can access my photos on my phone- lets me easily post them online. This camera is a powerhouse and I am in love!

Fantastic powerhouse of a camera-excellent for someone with experience

Upgrading from a Rebel T100 I found the 90D to be a bit of a learning curve. The camera performance is great on stills and waves but I'm still dialing in for birds in flight, they are not as crisp as I need them to be. 
The canon 90d has everything I need for night shooting as well unlike the Rebel that wouldn't hook up to a remote. 
I've had the camera a month and I am pleased so far

Canon 90D

Issue having is during a shoot it just shut down completely, was not able to trigger a shot. I changed lenses from the Tamron 18-400 to the Sigma 150-200 and still no ability to take a shot. After turning off and on a few times ability to take photos returned. Don't know why...may have to bring a 2nd body along for insurance. Could someone from Canon contact me about this?
