Can be economical, but initial cartridges may be low.

Simple interface allows for effortless printing from phone.

Setup takes around 20-25 minutes and is easy.

Can be smooth, but also prone to jamming.

Prints good text and photos but it is a big bulky printer for what it does. My MG7520 is a lot smaller and has the same features.

Great printer I spoke to someone from the company to replace my MX 920 and they recommended this printer which I don't need a fax machine, but it does copy printing and scanning it is equivalent or secure to my old machine and is great the support service to help me hook it up to Internet after I bought it was wonderful. I'm very pleased with the unit

Cannon is number one

Overall pleased with the value of the product for the cost and instructions were pretty easy to follow.  A little disappointed that the printer is advertised as having scanning capability, however to scan you need to open a downloaded utility tool on your laptop/PC.  Most printers with scan capability have a scan button on the printer which is much more convenient than accessing a utility tool.  Set-up instructions didn't address scanning steps.  I had to access the online manual to find instructions about the scanning functionality.

Good value, but disappointed in clumsy scanning capability.

The printer is not expensive but does a great job of printing and scanning. There are some issues with the Windows printer and scanner software setup, but they were overcome.

Good printer and scanner

This printer nicely fulfills my need for a secondary machine that scans and does the occasional color page or photo. However, the Getting Started guide was terrible, with absolutely no mention of scanning. I've been using computers since before Windows and the Mac, but it still took me hours to find out how to set up scanning for my desktop. The Canon website seemed designed to make me scream. So, five stars for printer; one star for instructions; three stars average.

Good machine, lousy instructions

IT IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE.  THE NEXT TIME I NEED A PRINTER WILL BE EPSON, BROTHER, OR SOME OTHER ONE.  PLASTIC IS CHEAPLY MADE.  THE PAPER TRAY IS FLIMSY.  IF YOU ACCIDENTLY BREAK IT THE PRINTER WILL NOT WORK.  EATS WAY TOO MUCH INK CARTRIDGE.  A WORTHLESS CANON PIECE OF CRAP.  ALONG WITH THE SALES PERSON WHO SOLD IT TO ME.

Paper always get stuck and you can't get it out unless you take the printer apart!

This printer sucks

Reading the other reviews gave me war flashbacks — the kind only this printer can cause. But honestly, it was a relief: turns out, I'm not crazy. This printer is.

Its relationship with Wi-Fi is like a bad soap opera. One day it's all “I'm here for you,” the next it's storming out and slamming the door. Six months in, and I still never know if I'm about to get a crisp document…or another round of betrayal.

And when it does decide to print? The level of joy I feel is embarrassing. No one should get this excited over paper coming out of a machine. It's the same rush I felt the first time a fax came through in the '90s — which tells you how rare this miracle really is.

Bottom line: it's less a printer, more a slot machine. And the house always wins.

Now You See Me, Now You Don't (Print Edition)

This printer is horrible and for this reason, every other day I have to reinstall the drivers just to keep it from printing a 3 inch wide black bar across the paper. Also it refuses to print from the paper try  but instead it only wants to print from the rear of the printer.  Further, there is ZERO tech support and attempting to navigate the so-called community pages for any possible answers  for a problem  well best of luck to you. I use only Canon cameras and lenses which are outstanding but thsi is the LAST canon printer I will ever own.  I would give it a ZERO if that were an option. Trying to submit this form why the heel do you need a picture to submit the form.
