it's a good camera body for the price. kit lenses are never great, so don't expect much from that. that being said, I do think it's worth spending the extra $25 to get the kit lens instead of just the camera body.

My camera buying experience from Walmart - via TriState Camera was a positive, easy experience. They had some of the lowest prices and they delivered on time as promised. The Canon 2000D EOS is a solid camera that lets you change/add pro lenses and setup up your game from using smart phones. It does NOT have the touch screen like the newer models but it comes at a cheaper price. Photography quality is fantastic - especially if you pop on a quality lens. In fact the standard Canon kit lens is excellent. The camera is lightweight and the controls and menu have all been well thought out and well done. It allows you to shoot in RAW format which is a must for pros. But this is quite easy to operate as a simple point and shoot too.
