This is the second Canon Megatank printer we purchased.  Happy with both of them.  Efficient use of ink, very high quality prints (plain paper or photo paper.  Easy to use and easy to set up.  footprint on the table is excellent.

Second Printer just as good as our first

I like the mega tank Canon printers this is my second one. Still using both. Highly recommend them but only if used daily .  Have to keep the nink flowing.  If you only use a printer sporadically go with a cartridge printer. My experience.

I am impressed by the quality and affordability of this printer. while the up-front cost is more than a toner printer, I have already saved money based on how many prints I am getting out of the starter bottles. I have no complaints.

All that is advertised

A well thought out printer. Ink comes in bottles (about 70 ml and 110 ml). It is stated that ink supply will produce about 5000 copies. My copies are good quality. As to claimed quantity, we'll see. This printer appears not to have a "life limiting" excess ink pad gathering system. I think this will be a nice plus. Two minor issues. The info screen is the size of a large postage stamp, and for me, not easily read. Also, the printer's "machinery" is noisy. These two things aside, my rating would have been 5 star. I'll add one more strong positive. The way that Canon does business strongly suggests that they appreciate you as a customer. And, this is something that I value greatly.

The New Member of My Office Equipment Family

The instructions with the printer were lacking.  The on line was not much better.  What happened to the old plug and play concept?  Could do without the app crap.  Seems to work fine now that it is set up.

Set up could be simpler.

ive had for months, I do a variety of projects. All of my prints with black ink on glossy or Matte paper began to have a running purple outline, ive changed paper bands, and it wasn't as bad. I wouldn't recommend as it's very inconvenient. if you aren't doing a variety of projects Id say its decent

great for simple tasks not for more complex images or projects

This has been the nosiest printer have I ever had. Also the screen readout is way to small 1 inch squire, it should have been at least 3 inch squire readout. And every time I start the printer it ejects a sheet of paper (waste of my time).

Poor Screen

Junk. Hooked up direct wiring to my computer and it goes off-line and online at random times don't know how to correct that. I printed a total of six pages separately in five of them jammed save your money.

Got the printer and followed instructions and doesn't work just keeps throwing code 5100 and tried several things to clear by looking up the code and still won't work

It ate up all of our internet /wifi. We couldn't use our tv or phones when the printer was on. It also stopped printing the last 25% of the pages just a couple weeks after we got it.
