After seeing so many bad reviews of the third party lens adapters for the EOS R5, it was a no brainer to purchase the Canon adapter. In the past I have always purchased Canon brand accessories and have never had a single complaint. 
The adapter fits perfectly. It fits tight but, not too tight. No problems with connection to the lens, no focusing issues at all.

A mount adapter that permits long-tern Canon camera users to use those EF lens's, some that are excellent and quite expensive, with your new R5 camera body.  A simple job to do, and it seems to work OK with my EF lens, but my nice Tamron ultra-wide angle lens is not usable due to strong vignetting.

EF to R lens adapter - OK EF, not Tamron

This works great with my EF lenses, and except for the added length they feel like native RF glass.  The only lens I felt compelled to replace was the V1 of the 70-200 IS 2.8 L -  because the RF version is lighter and shorter and sharper (and the adapter makes the EF even more front heavy).  Since I am currently using a 5d IV for a backup this will allow me to use the rest of my lenses until I jump into mirrorless with both feet.

My EF lenses are better than ever!

Does a fine job and was a free add-on. I haven't missed the "manual ring" so happy I didn't spend more, nor did I want to mess with filters behind the lenses as the other pricier choice. Yes it adds a little weight but doesn't effect the autofocus like extension tubes with my telephoto zooms so I'm happy with it. Since I shoot with the EOS R only when need silent mode and use my EOS 5 for other situations there is need for only one adapter ring.

Easy Way of Using My Best Lenses

This is an excellent product if you have a Canon R series mirrorless camera and would like to continue to use your EF as well as EF-S lenses. 

Here's an interesting point....If you're using this adapter on a Canon FULL frame R series camera with the adapter and are attaching a Canon EF-S lens, the full frame camera senses this and switches into "cropped mode". What this does is temporarily change the full frame camera into an APS-C camera while an EF-S lens is attached to the adapter.

Here's an example...If you're using a full frame Canon R5 (45 mp sensor) and want to use an EF-S lens, the result will be a lower resolution image. In "crop mode" the R5 would produce a 17.5 mp image because the crop factor (1.6) is applied to BOTH the vertical as well as the horizontal. The result is 45/(1.6 x 1.6) = 17.5 mp. 17.5 mp is still a sizeable image but you should be aware of the downsizing of the image. This ONLY applies when using a Canon FULL frame R series camera with the adapter and an EF-S lens. There is NO image megapixel loss when using standard EF lenses with the Canon R series cameras and the adapter.

It allows you to adapt your lenses
There is no loss of quality I have seen. I get more Chromatic Aberration with familiar lenses than I have seen before but I think that is the camera not the adapter

Works well to allow use of EF and EF-S lenses

Definitely if you need the EF adapter for your R camera (mine is an R5) you need to stay with the Canon version.  Don't skimp on the adapter since your lens is way more costly as is your camera.

Go with Original Canon Equipment

This adapter allows all IQ to work from the camera to the lens. It is fast reliable  and most important you can use your ef lens on an r6 and r5 camera.
