Printer's wireless connection drops or fails to establish.

Ink usage can be higher than expected, affecting print quality.

Setup and operation are straightforward for home use.

Can be quick, but also varies in complexity.

Produces prints with good clarity and detail.

This model is inexpensive yet the best printer I ever owned. I had the exact same model for 5 or 6 years and it died. I liked it enough to buy the exact same model. I had a hard time installing it because I forgot to delete the old one before installing the new one -- my bad. But the Canon tech rep stayed with me on the line until all was complete.

My second MG3620 -- can't go wrong.

canon.com

I purchased this printer with some hesitation as I had read a few reviews regarding wifi set-up problems. But I did my homework by first making sure the printer model would work with my PC's operating system and I then downloaded the drivers necessary. All of that info was easily found on the Canon website. The set-up instructions that came with the printer were all I needed to have the printer communicating with my PC, laptop and smart phone. It's been working fine and has many features I'm still exploring. The price is excellent.

Canon Pixma MG3620

I got this printer to replace my MG3122 which had the dreaded ink absorber code. After several attempts at fixing it I decided now would be a good time to start fresh. I like the new matte black top as the printer sits near a window. I noticed this unit prints very fast! A nice upgrade indeed from the MG3122 I had. I look forward to may years of service with this unit.

Great printer. Tricky WiFi binding though

I bought this for my daughter to take to the dorm. The features were good and the price was better. It works with her phone and her tablet. I have had several Canon printers and never have managed to wear one out, not even the one that wound up in my classroom. I retired before it did, and it cost $29.

Great price

Samsclub.com

The Canon PIXMA MG3620 does the job for printing and scanning. The directions and user guidance provided neglects to note that to enable wireless printing if you have a dual band router, the computer must connect to the same band that the printer connects to. The Canon printer only connects to the 2.4GHz band. If the printer is connect to the 2.4 band and the computer connects to the 5GHz band, they are unable to communicate. It does a good job of printing and scanning. It has a very useful feature in that it can print on both sides of the paper. Many similar models are not able to do double sided printing.

Printing and Scanning Competently

Ok for price. The way the paper loads and comes out is not well designed and is awkward and kinda clunky. Ink install is super easy. Installing the printer was a HUGE pain on one of my pcs. On the other it was a bit of an annoyance but relatively smooth. It also loses points bc the wireless mg2920 is a better design, has a better print quality, and is cheaper. On the whole I would buy it again. It is my 3rd Canon printer. They use less ink, cost 50% less upfront, and last 4-5 times longer than HP. They have less jams too. I will never buy another HP again. My most recent mg finally wore out the rollers. I think I got it around 2014... Loooooooong time.

This printer is 3 stars bc design , Canon printers are 5 stars quality

This is the second printer of this model that I have bought. I purchased it only because the previous printer used cartridge canon 240 and 241, which I had a surplus stock on hand and few other Canon printers used these cartridges. Otherwise I would have bought a different printer.

Not enough choices

Generally straightforward and good quality. But the setup of wireless connectivity is ridiculously complicated - must be an easier way. And this one replaced an old one that lasted less than two years - fell victim to a fatal paper jam and never worked after that.

So so.

This should be a basic, easy to use printer and scanner. I don't need it often, but when I do, I need it to work. I spend more time hovering over it, pressing buttons, it either not grabbing standard paper or jamming, usually on the bottom where it can't be reached. Turn off, pray to the printer gods the jam will move so it can be grabbed. It's also finicky on print quality, sometimes being a bit blurry or having a random thin line that doesn't print no matter how many times you go through maintenance. This printer will teach you new colorful language! It's a shame, because the size and weight are perfect, when the printer decides to work properly it's a breeze. WiFi setup can be a challenge, but I'm not super technical. I wish Canon would make some tweaks to this everyday printer. I'm on my second one. Lastly, there's no reason for the current price, it's way too high!

Fine When It Decides To Work

Literally only used this printer for 2 weeks and it got the worst paper jam I've ever seen. Yeah, so this is a hard no for me. All I did was turn it on the printer and the paper that was already in there somehow got jammed.

Bad Printer

Canon PIXMA MG3620 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer - White front-centered desktop view of the compact white AIO showing top flatbed scanner, paper tray extended and control panel; wireless printing and auto duplex are listed specs, supports borderless photos up to 8.5" x 11" and up to 4800 x 1200 dpi.
