Amazingly sharp, great bokeh, full colors in the images. Needs minimal work up in post. The magic maker, just like the EF 135 was.  Every shot has a distinctive look to it. Not too heavy, and the black color makes it great for street photography. I just got it and have been shooting at f/1.8 most of the time. Definitely expensive, but if you've got the $$$ it's a good way to go. I'll enjoy this lens for 20 years.

well made lens. Very sharp. Color seems to be less vibrant than some of my L lenses on an old 5DII. Perhaps just the limited amount of images. Pretty new to the R8 so still getting used to the auto focus. Trying out new polarizing filters and camera settings..

Sharp, LOOOONG, too long, but I need a long lens

Love this lens for indoor sports!  Being an amateur photographer and grandpop, I use it for volleyball, gymnastics, and cheerleading pics all shot from the stands and the results are fantastic and sharp!  Great lens!  I'm waiting for Canon to release a new 200mm prime and hopefully won't be much heavier than this piece of perfection!

Love everything about this lens. The rendering is unique to the 135mm focal length and the speed at which it aquires targets its unmatched!

No other lens matches the unique qualities of this

I purchased this lens used to save a couple hundred bulks but was not disappointed at all. I have been reluctant to buy this lens despite the great reviews. I always thought that the Canon RF 85mm F1.2 was the sharpest lens Canon produced, but after using this lens I was wrong it is just as sharp as my 85mm F1.2 with a little longer distance. My 28-70mm F2 is my best versatile lens, which is sharp as well, but I would have to give the edge to my 85mm & 135mm for sharpness because they are scary sharp

This lens is exceptional. You won't beat it with anything else. You may get a different perspective, but you won't beat it. I bought this lens for portraits but decided to shoot XC when it arrived. Typically shoot with the 70-200 2.8 for cross country events. So many brilliant photos straight out of the camera with no editing.

Versatility unmatched.  I use this lens portraits, sports, fashion and advertisement.  Canon has been coming out with some crazy lenses these last few years, but this is a must have for me now in my kit bag.  Pro level tool.
