Impressed with the size weight and aperture of this lens as well as the sharpness of the images even at f1.4. It's use for both video and photo is what drew me to this lens and so far it has delivered in both aspects.

Great hybrid lens, look forward to adding more VCM lenses to my kit.

I bought this lens as my first lens after moving to mirrorless from the NIKON D850. I paired it with the R5 MKII and couldn't be happier.

Excellent introduction to Canon RF line of lenses

This was an incredible letdown. I had been waiting for just this exact lens for so long. I received it and loved the size and weight. The loose, clunking elements annoyed me some, but when poor quality of the standalone, uncorrected photos, I heart sank. I returned it the very next day. This is the worst L glass on the RF mount by far. Sad day. Shame on canon.
