I have made relatively little use of this so far, but each use has been effortless and the result top quality.  First page prints almost immediately, much sooner than the spec.  The scanner has worked well on a couple of trials.  I'll try the feeder with 15-20 pages, but if that functions well, this machine is the equivalent of a $350 Fujitsu scanner that, after years of use, I finally wore out. I got a very good price, and before I bought it I checked on the cost of a replacement cartridge, not Canon, but no doubt useable, and it's just $18.

My wife has an inkjet that I can use for color printing, if I really need it.

I didn't get this to use as a fax, which is pretty old school, but I have an occasional need to receive a fax, so I may try that, too.

The setup was easy, the hardest part being to make sure that you remove all the tape and pads, but the instructions are clear.

One glitch so far seems to be the full manual, which I loaded, I thought, onto my computer, but when I go to access it I end up at a dead end.  I may try to reinstall soon, especially if I want to use the fax without interfering with the home phone/answering machine.

I found this very easy to setup as a network printer. I tried to set it up by USB on an ASUS router printer port, but that had some issues (with ASUS). I then used ethernet and found that all my home Windows 10 computers saw it immediately and installed the drivers. I also installed the network scan utility and that works from network computers. I also found I can easily print from an Android phone since I had the Canon printer app on my phone already and it found the printer quickly. This printer does not have wifi, but plugging it into a wifi router via ethernet gives it almost the same capability. Not hard or confusing to setup at all. Printing is fast, startup from sleep to printed page is only a few seconds. It scans in color if you want, but only prints black and white. Print quality is very good. 600DPI is fine for text and normal graphics. Very happy with this printer.

I use this as a printer on a  network in my home and for occasional copies. I retired from Canon and bought an earlier version of this around 2008. It just died so I bought another one. If I get 10 years out of this one I'll be happy.

I have 3 of these now one for office, house, kid in collage . All are used everyday. Cannon Image class is a real workhorse for a small amount of money. Excellent quality printing and copying.

Great quality, Good price.

Fast delivery, working great. I had no problem setting it up despite some reviews I read before purchasing. From opening box to using printer took about 10 min, including software install. I couldn't find the USB cable but I may have misplaced it when opening. I had another one that was compatible so no issue. Printer came with toner. Didn't know so bought another one at time of purchase. Will use when this one runs out.

Great so far

Printer fully functional with cell phone in 10 minutes. Plugged in ethernet, power cables, turned printer on, used front panel to setup printer, downloaded Canon business printer app on droid cell, found printer & was able to checkout printer functions. Printer does not come with an ethernet cable. Setup on my Microsoft laptop using CD took longer, have an old laptop, but did get full functionality working as well.

I love the printer for lots of reasons, but there are also some things I would change. The printer quality is high, but adjusting the darkness/lightness of the prints is more complicated and less effective than it should be. Also, I use the printer a lot for copying one or two pages, and it would be so much easier if I could just set the page I want to copy and hit "copy." Instead, I have to tell it I don't need to check the paper size, then I hit copy, and then I still have to hit "start." Why three times the work? All that said, I liked it enough that I bought a second one for the office. I have always loved Canon quality, it never jams, it's very quiet, and folds up nicely to keep it clean overnight or on the weekends.

High quality, but lots of unnecessary steps

Printer didnot work at all.I installed the driver on my computer successfully and when I printed, a LED was flashing and given me error. I checked with an IT man and he couldn't do anything.
Honestly I trust Wallmart not 3rd parties.

Described as a network printer.  But doesn't have WiFi.  To most people when you say network, you would think it would work with a WiFi network.  Not so here.
