Panel Quality

Great product

Very cheap plastic. Support arms are even plastic. I thought the cover was tinted but it's clear. It's about a 1/4 inch thick of corigated plastic not solid plastic. Directions indicate it will hold up to winds 35 mph. I did put it up because I needed something immediately. Hope it last a year

I would keep this product except: the awning is too long out, with heavy winds it will get ripped off, half the size would be great. Second, the metal holders are too long, they don't fit the wooden board, wall siding.

Not very big, does not give very much protection

Canopy

The locking system that was supposed to make installation easy ended up being a huge hassle. It kept slipping out of place, and I had to keep adjusting it. This was not the straightforward assembly I was hoping for.

The canopy is too light and provides minimal shade. I should have chosen a darker color for better protection against the sun. Now my porch area gets too hot.

The awning looks nice, but I didn't realize how often I'd have to clean leaves off the roof. It's become a weekly chore, especially during fall. The design doesn't seem to prevent leaves from accumulating.

I find myself climbing up to clean the roof of the awning at least once a week. Dust and bird droppings accumulate so quickly, it's hard to keep up. This isn't as low-maintenance as I was hoping.

The panels arrived with several scratches that affect the overall clarity and aesthetics of the awning. For the price, I expected pristine panels, not ones that look used.
