I used Aveda Be Curly for years. When they recently changed the formula, I decided to try something less expensive before I spent a lot of money on something I didn't know if I'd like.

I read online reviews on shampoo for curly hair and chose this. Mind you, I spend a small fortune every month on salon products for curly hair.

I've been using this for about 2 weeks (so, 3 washes) and it's just as good as my $35 shampoo! I was worried it would strip my hair or leave residue from the shampoo itself, especially when it lathered because I haven't used a lathering shampoo in years. 

Instead I just have soft, shiny, bouncy curls!

By far the BEST shampoo I've ever used and the price is unbelievable. I wear extensions, AND my hair hates being wet.. and this stuff not only cleans everything but leaves it silky smooth. I use the conditioner and the detangler also, and hopefully I never have to find another product again.

The best shampoo, adult with long extensions

I had never heard of this brand before but was searching on Walmart website for a shampoo, curl cream, etc that might work better than the hundreds I have already tried (seriously).  I am also picky about what I put on my hair and want products in it that do not do damage or dry it out but might add positive results as I use it, maybe even promote longer healthier hair.  Being old, my hair is hanging in there but tends to be dry and frizzy and also has lots and lots of gray.  All I can say is in the few times I have used the several products by Cantu I have bought I am impressed with everything, the price, the quality, the smell, the results.  I think I will keep coming back to this brand and maybe trying other things I haven't since it seems to fit everything I am looking for especially at such a fair price.  I have nothing negative to say about any I have used so far.  (bought a tub that is either a intense conditioner or a leave on conditioner which is really super also).

at 76yrs old, Cantu is working for my curls/frizz

I have thin curly hair and this shampoo does the job without stripping any moisture away from the curls. The smell is delightful, I've gotten compliments on the smell from my boyfriend.

Light weight conditioning shampoo for curls

I initially bought the shampoo for my son. He has dry, course, curly hair and it tamed and moisturized his hair.  I also starting using it on my colored hair. Our entire house (2 adults and 3 children) use it now. We have all different hair types. Nice smell.  A little goes a long way.

Great product

So I usually fet this from my locsl beauty supply and let me say walmart have you payy less than what I usually pay for one bottle they charge you almost 8 or 9 dollars dor donetying like this . I won't be buying my hair shampooing products from them anymore lol . Im natural and I use all cantu products

I used to use Cantu many years ago but switched due to product build-up in my hair. I started using this shampoo three months ago and noticed that my scalp is clean. It has a great smell, and you don't have to use a lot as it suds up pretty quickly. I have 4C natural hair, and I use this shampoo every two weeks.

A little will go a long way, and it smells good.

Since I'm more conscious about what I purchase lately, I wanted to try Cantù shampoo because it's sulfate free. 

I love the smell, which I would describe as tropical with a hint of coconut and pineapple. 

The one star was because even though I love the smell, my hair started falling out and getting a horrible texture. My hair is naturally thin,  semi wavy,  and when I have tried new shampoo in the past, the very first thing I notice is how my hair texture changes and it looks prettier but unfortunately this time it wasn't the case. 

I tried giving it a few chances by using my other shampoo and try the Cantù again but each time I tried it my hair was suffering. I freaked out because it was so drastic. My hair falls every day no matter what shampoo brand I use but the amount shocked me. 

I see for some people it works but it was definitely a punishment for my poor hair. And for that reason I'm out!

Never again, hair started falling so bad!

I heard very good things about this shampoo. I thought, why not give it a try? 
It dried my hair out really bad, not to mention the rash it caused on my shoulders. 
Sadly, I have a brand new bottle unopened that I can not use. A waste of money.  I will not recommend this shampoo.

I was looking for a clarifying sulfate-free shampoo. i experienced this product as gummy, sticky and impossible to rinse out. It left my hair feeling completely coated with a sticky residue and my hair was flat, lifeless and drab. 

When I showered the next day I used it again with the same results.  I am very accustomed to sulfate-free shampoo, but this was the worst hair product Ive encountered. Im 60 years old, so have encountered a few. This "cream" was just unable to be removed and it required a few shampoos using a sulfate shampoo followed by a vinegar rinse - twice. 

Just beware - regardless of the type of hair you have, the product experience is not pleasant, in my experience.
