Needed a backup for my Mac laptop (for the TimeMachine function), this does the trick! Seems to work very nicely so far, no issues as of yet. Can hear it when it's in use (nothing too loud), it has a tiny white indicator light and you can hear the disc start/stop inside. Just treat it with caution and it should be great.

Came on time. Loaded all the files I needed quickly. Freed my laptop storage up. The color is softer than the pics online, and it's actually more light blue-ish in person. It buzzes softly as it writes to the drive, and comes with both USB-C and USB-A connection cords, so it is compatible with what you have. Install the software first, then load it up. It's really basically plug and play besides that. Just received and also paid for the 3 year warranty. Would buy again. Would like another more neutral color, though.

Nice for the Price

I was fortunate to get this hard drive at the old price, and not the new pricing. Memory and data storage has significantly increased over the past several months. While every retailer was quick to hike prices up, including Amazon, Walmart lowered them in a move to clear inventory! This has happen to me on various occassions. Lesson don't buy Amazon, buy Walmart!!

Great price and Value.

I have a few of these drives. Two smaller size (2TB) versions are dedicated to photos only or family history only. 
I have three of the 4TB. I have two computers and use a 4TB for each one's backup using the built-in Time Machine application. Because I am a little paranoid, the remaining hard drive is used to manually copy everything - docs, pictures, applications, etc. - from each system 'just in case'. 
Have I recommended these? Yes, in fact, I've given them as gifts!

Great for backups

I love the product as I have this brand already that I purchased over 10 years ago so decided to give it another try.  Now I have double the space.  It gave me an installation challenge, which was my fault because I failed to format it prior to use.  But after properly formatting, no problem as of date.

I had a 2TB USB HDD with movies attached to my TV.  Eventually I ran out of room, and needed  more capacity, so I got this one to double the storage.  This connects to a BD player with a USB port which connects to my TV via HDMI.  The USB port in the TV is worthless for movies.  It only support image files, not movie files.  I use the BD player which does support movie files on an HDD to its USB port.  Have no problems with playback: no stuttering, no jerkiness, no pixilation, no lag in switching to another movie.  Only 1 USB port is needed which is USB2 on the BD player, so this compact HDD doesn't need more power (i.e., don't need a USB3 port).

Have been using Toshiba external hard disk since more than 10 years for backup storage and it is still going strong. Bought this disk as my data size requirement has outgrown the old one.

Reliable backup storage

I have three of these and will buy another when needed. Note that these old-tech physical disc drives seem to power-down when not in use for a period of time. So when trying to access a file, it can take several seconds to spin up again before the file will load. I assume this prolongs the life of the drive. I have one that has been working fine for more than two years. If you need faster read/write speed, you'll need to buy an SSD drive for twice the price. The only thing I don't like is that it takes a proprietary cable, and the cable included is very short.

Reliable. Good storage space for the price

I've only had it for about a week and loaded it to about 80% capacity with no significant issues (just plug in %26 transfer onto) save the speed of the transfers themselves lacking, even compared to HD I've had for years.  That said, once I loaded it, I ran a quick analysis and only 1% fragmented.

Ample storage capacity for my needs. Formatted to exFAT file forma that can be recognized between smartphone, laptop and desktop computer. Can be utilized as a backup storage solution.

Con: file access can be laggy due to slow startup.

Works ✅.  Reliability - to be determined.
