I bought this set to play while on long road trips or sitting at the airport/on the plane. The set is very basic cardboard with plastic pieces. For $5 it's definitely worth the price; however, I have a hard time understanding why a company would mass produce a product and not provide proper identification of squares. The lettering is correct, running left to right, but the numbering runs black to white with the first rank show as black and the eighth rank as white. Before producing this set, I wish they would have done some research on proper chess board layout (A1 should always be a dark square on the bottom left of the white side).
