This game is terrific! My 4 year old got it for his birthday and it turns out fun for the entire family. Even grandparents! The people that gave this a bad review and said that you have to go back to the beginning screen to pick different holes are mistaken. They must not be playing in the right mode. I play with my son daily. We play 9 holes and dress our characters up together. The fun part is that yes, it is with some luck, but the more you play this there are hidden little games in in and you can figure them out. If my 4 year old can show me how to play and figure the whole game out, then I would think that it would work for adults too. He even beats me sometimes all by himself. Several people that have come over our house and played want to buy this now. If unsure, go rent it and try it out first, but I think it is great.

My 8 yr old and 12 yr old both LOVE this game. We often have a house full of neighborhood kids and everyone always enjoys playing this game. My husband and I also enjoy playing mini-golf with the kids. It is definately a favorite!!
This game can be enjoyed as single player, single player vs. the computer (a.k.a.- Barker) or multi-player (up to four). Obviously you play mini-golf. Each course has three holes and there are multiple courses, each with a theme. There are several 'skill' shots available in which a hole-in-one is necessary to beat the hole.
I disagree that only 'luck' is required when playing this game, there is a little skill involved. My kids have mastered most of the holes, but a few of them are still a little difficult for them. Want to know the best way to shoot a hole? Play against Barker and he will show you!!
As you play a course you collect coins for that course. You can then spend your coins in a store and obtain different outfits, putters, balls, etc.. As I mentioned above, each course has it's own theme, so as one would expect the items for purchase with the coins won on the 'fairytale' course have a 'fairytale' theme. One would have to play many, many, many rounds of mini-golf in order to obtain every item that is available. The kids really enjoy getting to change up their outfits and often have their person looking very, very silly.
My daughter played this game as a 6-yr old and enjoyed it. I think a teenager could enjoy it if they were playing with their younger siblings, but it would probably not be the game of choice if they were playing Wii with other teenagers.
We do wish there were more unlockables, more courses and more challanges.
We would definately recommend this to a friend.
The kids are really hoping there will be a Mini-golf 2 someday soon.

Fun for the entire family!!

We LOVE this game! We rented for Christmas break and had to had this game!. I searched all over and could only find it online. We're waiting for its delivery. Only downfall is that my daughter & I both want to beat Barker. We wish that portion was multiplayer. Otherwise, we like the hidden games inside the holes and how you can find different accessories. Very cool.

I got this game with the intention of giving it for Xmas!But it looked too fun!We played it & it is a blast!!Anyone who's ever played mini golf video games is in for a great surprise!It is the best mini golf game I've played!My 7yr. old daughter loves this game!And it is good excercise too, cause it's FUN!!

Fun for All

I bought this game as I am starting to get my 4yr old into playing video games to build up his eye hand coordination. Now almost every night he wants to play. A few of the holes are difficult for him, however the game is actually enjoyable at least in our house.

Perfect way to play golf with my 4 yr old

This is a wonderful game to play by yourself, or in a group setting. Contrary to some of the reviews, it does take skill to complete these courses. You have to know exactly the angle to hit the ball at, as well as the power level, which is really important on some of the levels. By far my favorite wii game that I have played.

GREAT GAME!!!

My mother in-law bought this game for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. She LOVES this game. We have had it 6 months now and she still plays it every chance she gets. There are some holes (mainly in the the "hard" levels) that she has problems with, but she is getting better the more she plays. It is a great game for the whole family of all ages to play.

The game is fun and cute, but grows old quickly. I was highly disappointed in 3 areas of this game (in order of importance to me):
1 - its a game of luck and some skill (one would assume mini-golf would be skill based)
2 - it has the MOST annoying Sounds. after about 10 seconds of play we had to mute it. The barnyard sounds are the worst. ( think of a cheap child's toy sheep going "baa" on a continuous loop)
3- The Golfing Characters in this game portray a VERY haughty and arrogant attitude. Great for parents who want to teach their children that winning is everything, But not so much for those like ourselves who prefer to encourage a more sportsman like attitude.

Its Alright...

I am a senior that loves playing Minigolf with my wife. So when I saw this game I had to have it.
Very disappointed. It can't be played like 18 holes of minigolf.There are 18 holes divided into 9 theme courses.
Three holes in each course. One Adventure hole that has a mimigame in it (not golf). One Challenge hole that has a number of diffrent paths.Like finding the right hole out of 6 that will lead to the right one.One Trick shot that you have to make a hole-in-one. Not skill just luck.
Some of these holes you just have to play over and over again to sink the ball with luck not skill.
All mini courses I have ever played you need alittle luck in but skill to get a good score. This one is all luck so you can't compete.Overall the holes can be fun and flusterating.
