I never had a dishwasher before but had always heard Cascade was the best. I recently moved in with my brother who is a VA Veteran who has health issue so I am here helping him with the cleaning and so on. He has a portable dishwasher and told me to use it well he had this cheap dishwasher soap that didnt work , so I went back to hand washing and he asked me why well I told him I will not use it until I get Cascade with Dawn I have always used Dawn nothing better for greasey dishes. In fact I recently told a friend to use Dawn in cleaning her husbands work clothes. He uses Crisco to line the concert molds his company makes anyways she was amazed how Dawn worked. So I told my brother either he gets me Cascade with Dawn or I wasnt using the dishwasher. Well I got my way and he bought Cascade Platinum still complained how expensive it was but after I washed his frying pans that were gunted up bad came out spotless and he looked into the washer and said WOW the Cascade Platinim REALLY WORKS. I just looked at him and said by the way that buttered up plastic dish also squeaky clean and he was amazed how clean the dishwasher was. Sometime big sister is alway right lol, I knew it would work and from now on my brother and I will be using Cascade Platinum Thanks so much!

Announcement: I have clean dishes!!! I don't just mean that I got tired of digging a plate and fork out of the pile and hand-washing them every time I wanted to eat (haha, what?!) - I mean that for the first time since I moved into this apartment, where they conveniently forgot to list "Worst dishwashers EVER!!!!" with the amenities, I washed a load of dishes in the dishwasher and did NOT have to re-wash 90% of them. They ALL came out clean. The glass was sparkling and spotless. The bowls and plates had no remaining caked-on bits of mystery food. The table knives has no peanut butter residue. My copper pots have shiny bottoms again. Even the plastic storage containers have virtually no water spots!!! I have new Cascade Platinum Pacs to thank for this wonderful moment. I've tried many other brands/types of detergents; powders, liquids, and other types of packs, and nothing else has worked. Thank you, Cascade, and your little packets of awesomeness.

These actually WORK!!!!!!!

This is a great product and cleans really great, however you need to trim the squared corners from the packets.
My dishwashers soap door won't open because the corners of the packet keep the lid closed too tight. If we trim the corners off , it works fine.
We have a GE power saver. The packet fits great in the soap compartment , but the corners hang over the edge.

I am not happy with Cascade Platinum. I used the packets three times. I'm a three strikes you're out person. All three times the packets did not dissolve. No this is not a problem with the heat or my dishwasher because I have used Finish and had no problem. Also, my dishes do not come out clean. I have to pre-wash everything before running the dishwasher. Again, the Finish did not do this. I bought both Cascade and Finish to do my own test and Cascade failed miserably. I am glad I only bought the small 14 packet bag. This product was quite disappointing.

Poor on all levels.

I have used Cascade products for years with great success and was anxious to try the new Platinum. Now I have a mess! My glassware, silver ware, and stainless interior of the dishwasher all have a heavy white film, HARD to GET OFF!!!! Very expensive mistake on my part. My dishwasher is only 2 yeaars old. I have never had this happen with any other Cascade Product.

I have used Cascade Pacs for a while now, so I just grabbed one off of the shelf when I was out. After the first load in the dishwasher I had to look at the bucket, and I saw that it was Cascade Platinum Pacs with Dawn. They're HORRIBLE! I have had to run the dishwasher cycle TWICE for each load of dishes to get clean. My dishes still have food residue on them when the cycle is completed, and I have to closely inspect each dish before putting it away. This morning more than HALF of my dishes in the dishwasher had to be washed AGAIN. It is not a dishwasher issue, as I have used other Cascade Pacs before with no issues. Next time I'll have to be more careful about which detergent I pick up on my errands.

I wish that they had a "be fully satisfied or your money back/product replacement" thing, but I'm probably out of luck.

Washing dishes twice to get clean...

I have used the Cascade gel packs for years with very good results. I decided to try the new Cascade Platinum and suddenly my Bosch dishwasher would not drain completely. I took out all the drains and I found the bottom drain coated with a white, paste-like, gunky substance, which I had to literally scrape off with a brush. I have returned to the classic Cascade...no more drain problems, the usual very good results. i will definitely stop using the Cascade Platinum and will discard the ones I have left.

I have always purchased the Cascade Action Pacs and never had an issue with them, but these Platinum pacs do not dissolve, I have even run the dishwasher twice and still did not dissolve. Going back to the Action pacs as soon as these are used up,can't afford to waste them. DISAPPOINTED
