Received it before it was even expected. I have the older version so they don't look alike but it is what it was expected to be. Excited to play with more people now.

Surprised

We have loved Catan for years. The kids are now adults, but it is still fun to play. The extension set works well with the base set and since we now often have 5-6 people who want to play, it's a great addition! It does change the game slightly, but worth it.

A great expansion to a great game for all ages. This is perfect for family or to entertain a group of kids. Also a great way to pass the time when the powers out.

A great way to expand on a great game

Our household loves catan and we sometimes don't want to team up to play with 4  players. We bought this expansion pack so everyone could play with their own strategy. It does take longer than the standard edition. However, I find that it's more diversified than the standard edition. Worth the investment if you have large game nights.

Needed if you want to play with more than 4 people.  Definitely great biy!

As a Catan family, this expansion pack let's us keep playing as our family grows!

it did not fit my catan... i checked and i have confirmed its the same version but it doesnt align correctly.  ive had catan with its extended version and you can't even twll which was form the original and which one isnt for the hexagons but the additional exterior pieces seem to match but when you try to fit them in they are definitely not compatible

I love the board game Catan.  We have played it as a family for many years.  The family was coming in for the winter holiday.  I had given my copy of the game to my daughter, so I needed a new copy. I went to the WalMart drive through.  They brought the game and the extension out quickly.  When we opened the game 3 of the sets of cards were missing. There were no sheep, wheat or brick cards. We improvised by using playing cards to substitute for the missing cards.  if I get a chance I will return the game.  The extension game was fine--it was still in the plastic cover.  We noticed the game they gave us was not encased in plastic. I guess they gave me a returned article.
