You need this brush to get into the pump. The sponge is fine, but make sure you clean the sponge after so you're not cleaning your fountain with a dirty sponge!

Perfect to clean the cat-it fountain

Definitely another sensible purchase for my cats Catit Water Fountain station - makes cleaning the unit so much easier and get's into the little crevices where mold can grow - excellent price also.

Makes Perfect Sense

I've had to use different cleaning brushes I found around the house but nothing quite fit the need. These brushes are perfect and for the price, I thought the set a good idea.

i had originally bought this because the box the foundation came in had advertised it, and if you think it's for a money grab (like me) then you are DEAD WRONG! this cleaning set is an absolute MUST to get a nice deep clean for you and your cats sake! i never realized that the motor in the thing could get so dirty until i bought this thing! 5/5 stars is more than a perfect rating for this product :)

As soon as I plugged it in both my cats came to check it out. They never hesitated. One drinks from the pool and the other prefers the spout. Plus, I get the comfort of knowing their water is always fresh. Cleaning, adding water, and changing the filter is a breeze and the low water indicator is great.

the larger brush works great as does the scrub sponge. The small brush came apart the second time it was used, also the shape would have been better with out the bend at the tip.
