Build Quality

The product's light output could be increased for better visibility.

Has a filter that can be replaced and cleaned.

We've had this fountain now for over half a year and our cats love it. I have had no issues with the pump or water going bad. This of course requires maintenance by changing the water every other day, or more or less depending on the number of cats. We have 7. Every evening I check the water level, don't wait for the red light to come on, and change the water every other day. I did this change of water every day when we used a bowl of water. It works as described and our cats love it. 😸

Love this fountain.

CATIT(R)

Paul

We, our furr baby and I, absolutely love this fountain…for the time it worked. Our cat is obsessed with ‘strongly' letting us know he wants a faucet on to drink from ( his BOWL simply won't do if we are in the bathroom). The sink, tub, shower, at anytime. So this was be amazing and he hasn't asked for a faucet or gotten in the way of the toothpaste once .
We have owned it for a few months, only add filtered or bottled water, clean regularly, and changed the filter. I will say, the dripping/trickling water fountain sound will gradually get louder as the water level goes down so just be sure you are a person who doesn't mind a typical water sound. Something like a faucet was left on a little.

My problem is that the pump quick working suddenly and we haven't owned it for very long. The water level red light indicator still works but it completely quit pumping water. I am overzealous about doing all I can to ensure there is no build up or clog possibility for the pump to ensure it wouldn't have a problem…and it has still died. For something that we put a descent investment in with equipment, replacement filters, etc., I would have expected the item to last a LOT longer than it has. So we are stuck finding and buying a replacement pump, maybe more often than I do the filters, or cutting our loses and dumping the special filters and unit we already purchased, to go for another brand or unit to hope for a better result. But boy is it cute.

Love Torn

I've owned the Catit Pixi cat fountains since they first released in 2021, gone through two of these fountains so I feel like I can leave an accurate review of the product. It's cute, functional, maintaining it is fairly easy and it's easy to clean.

The only con is that the pump does not fully disassemble, and it's the only reason I had to replace the fountain once and I had to replace the pump in the first fountain I owned once so in total we've gone through 2 fountains and 3 pumps. The inner propeller that propels the water upwards doesn't come off like it was stated in the manual and it gets gunked up even with regular cleaning to the point the propeller no longer spins or functions, requiring the pump or the whole fountain to be replaced.

The only way I found to effectively un-gunk and clean the propeller is to jab it with a hard object to dislodge the dirt and rinse it out the best you can since you cant use soap to clean the pump either, however I would not recommend this method as you can damage the pump.

Cute, functional cat fountain, issues with pump

Magnifique fontaine je l'adore. Parcontre la pompe est un problème. Elle ne dure pas longtemps. Ce serais bien qu'elle soit remplacer par une pompe qui ne brisera plus aussi rapidement.

La pompe

I don't know where to begin with how much I detest this fountain. It's an aggravation to clean. The filters leak a black substance into the water. A substance I can only presume is charcoal. And I hear a constant drip, drip, drip whenever the fountain is plugged in.

Look elsewhere

Was good. But had to clean out the pump after a month of use, after putting back together, now makes a noise. Tried cleaning it again and making sure put back correctly. Still makes noise.

Cleaned pump, now makes noise

Crazy, purchased this and cat does drink out of it. Didnt even last 6months and the motor gave out. Was working unplugged it to do its regular cleaning and dint work again. But wait you can buy another for half of the cost of the fountain…

Great Fountain Terrible Motor

It's really so dang cute. I love it. The thing is, it's good for about like 2-3 days with needing to be filled again. I have two cats and one uses the sink half the time. It also can get kinda loud like a fountain when it's right at halfway full. I like how it shows red when it needs to be filled, but I have already filled it by then. Also constant cleaning. It's cute but not for the price, there are better ones!

Ehhhh

Hâte de voir combien ça va me coûter.

Préparez-vous à ramasser la diarrhée de votre chat

I bought this for my grand kitten. He knocked it over several times spilling the water everywhere. I had to adhere it to a cookie tray so he couldn't knock it over. Then he started standing on it and knocking the top part off of the base so I gave up. Big waste of money.

Not for a Playful Cat
