Ease Of Cleaning

I am very pleased with my new water fountain and so are my cats. It was easy to clean and get set up and it fits perfectly in its location. I am really impressed that it even has a blue light so that it can be easily seen and the water level can be checked, even in the dark.

Catit Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain

I bought the fountain for my cat Moose who had been diagnosed with diabetes and was always begging for me to turn on the tap for him to drink. He loved it and although he is now in remission both him and our new cat Buddy love it. I thought that at 8 weeks little Buddy couldn't reach the fountain and we left her out a dish of water. She ignored the dish and went straight for the fountain. It was a stretch for her but she always used it. Easy to clean...nice fresh moving water.

My sister bought this for me for Christmas and I finally got to setting it up a couple months later. I wish I would've sooner b/c ALL of my cats love drinking from this and I believe it's helping them health wise get their needed water intake. I love that it lights up at night and that it's made from steel. Definitely change your filter once a month, just buy the years supply of filters and you don't have to worry about buying them monthly. My 11 kitties give you 5 paws!

Keeps my kitties hydrated!

Had the green plastic version of this for years. Upgraded to the pixi, which was a big mess from splashing. Replaced with this and it's, once again, perfect. My only complaint is that the LED pump is buzzing like it's vibrating against something, with no clear cause, so it needs to be replaced.

Cat approved!

I have owned two Catit water fountains. The first one was the green and white all plastic with new water-level viewing window. The second one was this one that has the stainless-steel top drinking bowl area. It is easy to set up, easy to clean, and the cats have no issues using it. I noticed the only other view the person talked about over-flowing, and this only happens if they over-filled it, or if the filter disc the water flows thru is full of junk and gunk from the water running thru. Things like food particles and cat fur does get into the top part from our furry friends and will get caught in the filter disc as the water from the upper part comes back thru the filter. If water backup is happening, it is a key indicator the filter disc needs to be replaced. Each filter disc is supposed to go for a month of filtering, but sometimes it doesn't make it a month due to an increase in dirt, cat fur etc getting into and on top of the filter. If you ever have a problem with their product, always reach out to Catit even if it's been 6 months or longer. Sometime a product might just be defective, and they will replace it.

Owned this for over a year now

I've tried a few different Catit fountains. My cat prefers the faucet like falling water of this fountain. I prefer the stainless steel because it is easier to clean. However, it doesn't drain fast enough. The slit on the back of the stainless steel portion is too small. The round drainage holes are raised too high. The water often spills over the lip in front. It's an annoying mess. 
Please fix this drainage issue. Cats are not drinking from there, so there is no need to let so much water remain there.

Not working as it is described

We (and the cats) initially loved this fountain. However, it has taken to unpredictably overflowing out onto the floor. We've tried the correct alignment, offsetting the alignment a bit to try and help drainage, keeping water levels low or high, etc, and it keeps happening. The drainage overflow hole is too small and having unpredictable pools of water pour out of the tray and soaking the floor is too much.

Our smaller catit fountain has never had this issue. It has lasted long enough we will likely be replacing the pump soon!

Overflows regularly, though cats love it

I've had this ss catit fountain for ab 2 yrs. Cats love it. I've cleaned several times changing filter with correct ones and starts right up again with water flowing with the flower. Today cleaned and won't start up. Does pump go dead. It's completely clear of hair, just won't pump.

I really wanted to like this product as my foster cats use it. However, it's impractical as one cat is able to constantly shift the stainless steel top and the plastic underneath the top and knock them off the fountain. When that happens, the cat then can tip over the fountain which results in a mess. Unless Catit can offer a solution to this (and I hope they can), the fountain will have to be returned.
