<p>Catskill Craftsmen has become the nation's leading manufacturer of ready-to-assemble domestic hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. Catskill Craftsmen manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily Northern Yellow Birch. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. This is the Grand-Daddy of workcenters. Features a 2 inch thick butcher block top with a bull nose edge and rounded corners. The top extends the depth by 10 inches, and the entire width of 36 inches when the drop leaf is up. The 9.5 inch deep drawer has full extension glides and a towel bar handle. Additional features include two towel bars, a slatted shelf, and locking caster wheels. We are pleased with the design and quality of this work center. In spite of having put together another of their kitchen island products a few years ago, I found this difficult to put together with several partial dismantelings necessary - - all because of poor and insufficient instructions. They need to review their instruction sheet for this product and mark several pieces that have a top and bottom but are not so indicated. They should highlight the 2 or 3 most common pitfalls that might befall the buyers of this otherwise great product.

Fine design well-executed but poor instructions

It took my husband 2 1/2 hours to assemble this and he's very good at stuff like this so keep that in mind when ordering. The only complaint I have is that the piece of wood for the bottom of the drawer is discolored by water or stain but I figure a drawer liner will solve that issue. I've shopped around & this is a great buy for this product and it looks beautiful! I know my in-laws will love it!

Time consuming but excellent product!

Product was excellent. It took too long to arrive and was time consuming to assemble.

While this product was what I was looking for - I was disappointed when the item was delivered - I didn't realize it would be in so many pieces
after spending so much for it - then when I did put it together I was stumped at one point with the assembly of the drawer - so I called the number provided and they couldn't really help me - but did wish me good luck - I finally did get it together and am using it
