I had a pair of shoes that was really too tight, they were 250.00 and I thought I might have to pitch them, but these trees stretched them right out after a thorough soaking and a few days sitting and drying out. 
The cedar really smells so, so nice too.
Beautifully made, really very nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for an inexpensive and high quality option for shoe trees for my dress shoes. At the time of purchasing these appear to be a very affordable option that had good reviews and the reviews didn't lie, I was very pleased with the quality of the product and very pleased with the price as well.

Gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seem to be a great value and best design especially for those inexperienced with shoe trees. researched shoe trees before making purchases-
Spring loaded tensions Automatically adjust snug fit for toebox width AND overall shoe length. Double barrels make for superior durability opposed to single. UNFINISHED CEDAR wood is optimal material it absorbs moisture and foot odor, and mildew. Good height on heels and arches fill shoes fully should extend shoe life holding form and preventing creases. Knobs on heels allow easy removal of devices. *No manual adjustments available. *Brass plated metal would look sharper, but stainless steel won't rust so just cosmetic preference. I have only used a couple weeks so I cannot attest to the longevity of the build quality, but they feel solid and for the price I think a great deal for upper-mid level shoe trees, also a fine gift idea *(comes in a Walmart box unfortunately though so not best gift presentation unless you repackage)

Good product

It never hurts to have a pair or two of shoe trees around the house and Walmart was my initial choice when it came time for me to buy a pair. I have a couple pair of sneakers that were bit tight on my feet and they needed to widened some. These shoe trees did the trick quite nicely, I'm now able to get in to my sneakers which are now wider and more comfortable. The cedar scent also adds a nice touch to the shoe trees.

Great Shoe Trees

I purchased 2 (sets) of these and I'm preparing to purchase 2 more. I have a large bunion that unfortunately has made it quite difficult to get into most of my dress shoes. I can wear my 'tennis shoes' but they can be a bit difficult at times as well. I purchased 2 of these to try them out & see if they'd help me out or not, and figured if they didn't hold up/do the job I'd be able to return them.

As the online pic shows the front 'toe insert' part opens and closes to keep form of shoe. What I've done to 'stretch' my shoes is open the front wood part to its widest and insert a small piece of metal (bolt/piece of plastic/wood or whatever) to widen it/hold it open; spray some 'shoe stretcher' (purchased elsewhere, however internet research provided that a combination of rubbing alcohol & water would also work); then insert item into my shoe holding it in place. I've left them in the shoes for 2-4 days to allow enough time for a good stretch. I've also sprayed a little more shoe stretch on the areas I needed stretched each day. For my tennis shoes I've also used a hair dryer a few times a day on those areas I needed stretched for 30 seconds at a time to allow it to heat up and hopefully expand while the stretcher is inserted. I've done 5 pair of tennis/dress shoes so far with my above method and all seems to have worked well. For brand new tennis shoes and shoes I've also taken the shoe and bent the front/toe portion of the shoes back and forth 100 times for each shoe in order to speed the break in process, and this helped tremendously on several brand new pair of tennis shoes I got on sale online.

There are shoe stretchers out there which look to cost $20-$40 for 1 (each, not a set) so this set of a left & right/per set for $24 was fair for me to try & use my MacGyver tactics to do what I need them to do. I do wish they had actual 'bunion inserts' to be moved where you need them on the item, but I've been making due with these.

They seem to be fairly durable, though the way I'm using them I removed the screw that holds the front rounded/movable portion on in order to allow a wider 'stretch' of my shoes. Only had them a week so not sure how it'll hold up for the long haul.

Quite functional as a shoe stretcher.
