Perfect feeder!

AGAIN:  The display photo shows a hinged top.  IT IS NOT HINGED.  I will keep it because it appears to be sturdy, but I would have liked hinged version for greater convenience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bird feeder is well made and sturdy. However, I thought the top was hinged on one side to enable filling with seed. Instead, the whole top comes off which makes it somewhat more awkward to fill. I think more views of the products and better descriptions would be helpful.

I just received my bird feeder and while it appears to be well made (and its Made in America!), the picture shows it having a hinged top. The feeder I received does not.  The top sits on the feeder and is held on by the hanging wire. While this is still a good option for hanging, I purchased this feeder with the intent of mounting on a 4x4 post.  This was purchased as a gift, so hopefully the intended recipient can modify it to his liking.

Nice feeder but not as described in description. Received it today and it doesn't have a hinged top and it doesn't have screen on the bottom. Solid wood bottom and solid top that slides up the hanging wire. So if you get it for  hinged opening and white bottom then this isn't for you.

Very poor quality product. Two unnecessary holes drilled in top no effort to fill in or repair. The hanging cord has a little metal clasp on it inside and it goes right through the hole so it won't hang. Even the wood itself looks like it was done in the Middle School shop class. I'm surprised that Audubon will allow its name to be on a product of this low quality.
