It serves its purpose. I haven't used it too much yet, so I can't comment on the recording part. I also have not hooked it to a computer yet. But the screen clarity is decent. Was able to observe human red/white blood cells. I will have to come back and update my review once I can use it a few more times. Shipping was faster than expected by two days.
