I've used Rain-X literally for decades. First discovered it as a young cross-country truck driver. It's water beading properties were simply amazing, and a tremendous boon to maintaining clear vision in the rain. Another factor was bugs. driving a large truck at highway speeds produces some really splattered windshields. Bad! I found that maintaining the Rain-X on my windshields every few weeks or so greatly eased cleaning them. The bugs still hit the windshield of course, but don't stick as hard. Finally, wintertime- ice is much easier to remove from windows that are Rain-X treated. I just can't say enough about the stuff. This new ceramic-based formula is much simpler to apply. One step process. Simply clean your windshield using the product and you're done! Much quicker and less of a pain than the two step process of original Rain-X.

Works Great!!!

It is awful!! It streaked my windshield and I am having a hard time getting it off. When the sun hits it just right, I can barely see out of the windshield. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

If I could give a zero star review I would. I am a long time rain x user. Normally love their products. Not at all the case w this one. It looks like I poured oil and wax all over my windshield and smeared it around and sprayed if off with hose and left it for a week. also now my wipers leave lines all over. worst glass cleaner ive ever encountered. So disappointed rain x let this hit the shelves branded by them. smh. Oh and it wont come off either so I guess the 1 star can be for the fact it likely really does last 6 weeks but thats not a good thing in this case.

Dont Buy

Using this product as directed on the bottle, it left a thick residue on my windshield. Glad I started on the passenger side. Take a look at my pictures--and this was after spending several minutes using a microfiber cloth trying to remove the residue. It took another 10  minutes with reverse-osmosis water and a different window cleaner to get off the residue. Used Rain-X products for years, but not sure I will going forward.

Really fouled up my windshield!

This product is a hazard to driving. I followed the directions and afterwards was left with a haze on the windshield. It got worse over a few days and driving at night was near impossible. Makes it look like you're driving through fog but the fog is on the windshield. Applying windshield wiper fluid didn't help to clear the fog. Just use the original and not this stuff.

Haze!

This went in the trash after the first application left a smeared mess that never buffed out properly. It was almost dangerous to drive with the streaks that it left, worse in the direct sun. I had to scrub it off the entire windshield on my two cars and my in-laws' car. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Terrible streaky mess

This product is absolutely horrible! Applied after washing the car with a microfiber towel- section at a time. Wiped with clean microfiber towel. Leaves an oily, streaky residue. My windows look horrible!

Absolutely horrible!

I love rain x I have bought it for over 15  years. But do not buy this as it leaves a haze and if you are driving at night with this on your windshield good luck as the haze plus on coming auto's you simply can not see.

Do not waste your money

My husband bought this a while back, and has used it twice.  Both times he told me it smears so badly, he has to literally do extra work to get rid of the smears.  We've used RainX forever, and LOVE everything else, but this is a terrible product.
