The sound is pretty descent, voice seems clear enough on movies (I don't use them for music), but there is a bit of mid range muddiness.  It's not bad but it is there.  For the right price this could be a very good speaker for your dollar.  However the drivers are NOT 5 1/4 inches.  They are 4 inch.  The only way you get to 5 1/4 is if you include the surrounds which is cheating.  The drivers themselves are only 4 inches each.
