Build Quality

Can be extensive, but often limited by obstacles.

Can be clear and easy to follow, but may be miniature or confusing for certain features.

Setup takes only a few minutes with minimal effort.

Simple setup process with existing garage door openers.

Terrific little item, although a bit expensive at around $50. This latest version is a big improvement over the (reliable) one it replaced. The latter worked well, but required opening up in order to program, and a somewhat complicated process for pairing it with the particular brand of rolling-code door opener that the owner has.

This new one is extremely easy to program. Push two buttons simultaneously, then push the "Learn" button on the door opener, push the button on the remote that you wish to store for that opener, then push any button to exit programming mode. Couldn't be easier.

Highly recommended.

Great Device, Much Improved Over Predecessor

walmart.com

Easy to program and works great. The model I received looks different but works. I looks like an upgrade with oval buttons. No issues after programming.

It Works!

The workers renovating my condo lost my garage remote. Luckily I figured out this remote was compatible with my garage door mechanism. It was pretty easy to program. Not to be stereotyping but I'm a female who's not particularly handy and I did it without a problem. I would just say make sure you read the entire instructions through completely before starting. There are a couple steps that require an immediate response like “within 30 seconds” so you don't want to be fumbling around with the instructions trying to figure out what comes next and miss it. Has a nice range and fits easily on my car visor.

Happy Customer

chamberlain.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed an additional garage door opener %26 this was compatible with our Liftmaster garage doors. It is a nice size, not as thick as the original ones. It works great, no issues. Was easy to program to work with our garage doors. We looked at other openers that were much more expensive %26 this works great. Exactly what we were looking for, at a lower cost.

Great size, works great, easy to program

Very happy with the remote for my garage door opener. Very good quality.. It's a name brand.. chamberlain garage door opener. Thank you.

They don't actually send you the Chamberlain 953EV-P2. Instead it's a cheap knockoff which doesn't have the same features the Chamberlain model offers. You'd be surprised at the extra engineering that goes into the real thing - that's why it costs more than the knock off models. You're better off ordering it somewhere else, or buying a cheap brand on Amazon.

They Send a Cheap Knockoff

I would recommend if I actually got the product. I ordered brand name got universal off brand name. Tried to return got run around and had to do the leg work to return it. Bit happy

Bed third party vendor

I purchased these because I wanted original Chamberlain openers. What I got was cheap knockoffs that I could have purchased for HALF of what I paid for the. When my husband tried to program them it messed up the other remotes we had and it ended up being a whole mess.

This was NOT Chamerlain!

The remote does not work when I try to open it unless my car is parked directly in front of it. Sometimes it doesn't work at all and I have to get out my car in order to open my garage. This garage door opener does not serve my purpose.

POINTLESS PURCHASE

The initial unit I purchased didn't work on my garage door opener, but they are shipping me a replacement one at no cost. The tech support I received was excellent. This unit is currently on back order.

Original unit didn't work
