This is a replacement engine for a Champion wood splitter. Old engine had many years use by a group ownership. This engine was a direct bolt in with no modifications. Fired up on second pull and have already split 4 cords of wood with no issues.

I would buy again

I use a 196cc motor as the powerhead for my mud motor, a Thailand longtail outboard. Reliability and durability are the most important things out there. This engine has brought me great joy. I love sharing my adventure with this little motor on my YouTube Channel.

Great for mud motors

This little engine came with my 25 ton Woodsplitter. I added oil and gas as specified. When I turned the fuel on, I half expected a dried up seal to start leaking, but nope, nothing. There were 5 of us present when I took wagers on how many pulls to start. My father won the bet at 2 pulls. Impressive for a brand new engine! I like the big recoil handle, works great with big gloves...like a snowblower would have. I also like the fact that it has two oil fill plugs and dip sticks. Choose whichever one is most convenient to you. Only thing that is going to take some getting used to, is the fact that it has no throttle control. It's governed well and is set perfectly, but this little motor will always be revving high. No warming up required apparently.

Can't beat these things

Have three of these on different applications (two trash pumps, one small pressure washer). Great engine, more cost effective than the big red brand, seems to be just as durable.

Durable Construction, cost effective.

Pressure washer is great for washing the vehicles. As well as the house. It has the power to deep clean as well as stripping paint off my deck so I can repaint it, saving hours of sanding. Starts easy no issues great product, really good value for the money.

I would absolutely recommend this product.

Purchased for use on my rototiller. The engine works great, but from the first time I started it out of the box, the mechanism to increase gas feed will not stay at higher rpm. When you move the lever to higher rpm, it returns to idle position as soon as you let go. I figured there must be a missing spring or something but couldn't see anything wrong. I called the support number and was told the every engine is check prior to shipping so that can't happen. Wow! I guarantee it had the problem the first time it started and still has the same issue today. I use a piece of light gauge wire and tie the accelerator lever in position. When the job is done I release the wire and it returns to idle position. I have studied the parts breakdown to see if I could discover some piece that is missing, or anything else that might help figure this out, but no such luck. So yes, I have been impressed with the engine, but found the factory support to be incompetent and they demonstrated no interest in resolving the problem.
