This wheel kit has replaced wheel kit model C40065 and is only compatible with Champion generators manufactured after January 2013 and is not compatible with generators made by other manufacturers.

This kit will not install on my 4500 champion generator. The kit assumes that brackets for the wheels are attached to the frame. No brackets are included in the kit.  The wheels can be used if you fabricate brackets to hold a 5/8” steel rod to use as an axle for the wheels. Expect to spend about 3 hours on this modification.

Genius thing. Why they don't put wheels on all generators from the get go? Btw. You DO NOT have to flip the generator on it's side to install the kit. Mine is filled with gas and it would be royal pain to drain it first. Kinda work around like on a car without wheels. It took me 20 min to get whole kit installed.

This Champion Generator Wheel Kit I purchased from www.walmart.com is a very useful addition to my Champion Generator, because it enables me to move the generator without much effort for setup and operation of the unit to power my tools and to meet other alternative electrical demands around my home and else where.

Attaching the generator wheel kit was a cinch, because all of the hardware I needed was provided.
I really liked the www.walmart.com price of the item, which was less costly than other online retailers I found.

It Beats Lifting The Generator For Emplacement...

This wheel kit is very easy to install and really makes the generator SO much easier to move around. Definitely worth the extra money! My only criticism is that in order to avoid confusion, the installation instructions should say that the handle needs to be installed facing down, rather than facing up.

This wheel kit makes an almost impossibly heavy generator simple to move around (even for a less-than strong woman).  Get one so your husband won't balk at taking your generator with you on camping trips.  It will allow for you to us your micowave, your TV and your air conditioner without whining!

Overall, the product was as expected and assembled without issue.  One thing I would have liked to have seen was an extra 5/8" washer for each wheel to close the gap between the wheel and the cotter pin.  They seemed to have missed the mark on spacing here.  I purchased additional washers and all is well.

Wheel Kit

Delivery was on time. Packaging was good. Instructions were okay but, manageable. Install was fairly easy. I tested it out by rolling it around int the garage a little. Good, so far. The real test comes when I have to roll it on uneven surface.

I purchases the wheel kit for my generator. It makes simple work of moving my generator around the garage and my campsites. Installation was simple and straightforward. I wonder if the small metal extrusion on the handle that engages to "lift" the end of the generator is hefty enough long term, but only time will tell. Works well and I have no complaints.
