This is my 2nd champion generator the first one was for my business that was used on a regular basis when I sold the business the generator went with it so when I lost power at my house for a day in a half I had to get another generator and the first champion ran so great never had a problem so the obvious choice was another champion electric start brought it home unboxed started it up and ran a whole day supplying power to my house in the winter with no problems

Bought this generator after the 11/3/24 tornado ripped through our town in Harrah, OK.  Luckily, no storm damage to my property, but was without electricity for nearly three days. Very easy to operate and saved our food from spoiling in a large deep freezer and two refrigerator's.  Plus, was able to have light.  I plan to have an electrician and get it where I can connect directly to my breaker box to be able to use other indoor appliances whenever there is another power outage.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GENERATOR!

Great Product!

This is for the frequent power outages in Florida, usually hurricanes are the longest usage, I like the battery shut off switch my last generator always had a dead battery despite a trickle charger it has no battery shut off switch

Emergency use generator

Runs all the essentials in an emergency backup situation, including my central heat/air in my 1,400sq ft home. Connect it to the generator hook-up and manage what items I want to use with my breaker box. I ran it on gas just to make sure it works but use mostly propane. Don't have to worry about the propane going bad it's there when I need it.

We live 100% off grid and use our dual fuel generator, hooked directly to our 1000 gallon propane tank , it runs daily. I my daughter called last week and this one started easier then previous units, she's watching the farm. The engine has automotive style rocker arms making valve setting precise compared to competition. We usually put approximately 5000 hrs on them.

This is the 5 th it 6 th champion generator we have owned.

We purchased this unit in case of power loss during a storm and it sure saved the day when hurricane Ivan slammed into SW Florida and knocked out power at our rural residence. Set up was quick and easy and 8000 watts was big enough to power our well and most of the house, lights, fans, fridge etc with the exception of a/c. The electric start function was very much appreciated by us old timers. We were without power for 14 days but this generator performed flawlessly running night and day. Low oil shut off is also a plus as once it shut off alerting us for need to add oil. Dual fuel is also a plus although we ran on gas it was reassuring to know we could switch to propane if needed. Fuel efficiency was good and we got 10 or more hours per tank of gas. Champion truely saved the day and allowed us to ride out the days following the storm in relative comfort. I would definitely buy again and recommend to anyone looking for a quality generator that you can rely on.

CHAMPION SAVES THE DAY

Our Champion Generator is a great unit. We would strongly recommend. When our power went out my Son in law pulled theirs out and kept them going for three days. Because of that we purchased a unit. We hope we don't have the issue again for three days but if we do we know that champion will be there to get us through.

Reliable unit

We use this generator to power our home during power outages. Haven't had one since we made our purchase, however we shut down from the grid to see what the duel fuel generator would power. Pleased with the performance of this unit, does what it's supposed to do, and a lot quieter than our previous unit. Recommend this product.

Absolutely

We lose power a lot. I had my old generator 24 years and just upgraded. My wife couldn't start the old generator, but has no problem with the new one. Easy start with either gas or propane. Just finishing the break-in period but so far it works great.

Better than expected

Out of the box, the generator ran as expected on propane although would not start and run on gas. Several hours over several days were spent having Champion's customer service walked me through multi troubleshooting processes which were unsuccessful. As a next step Champion wanted me to take the carburetor apart to further the troubleshooting efforts. I declined to do so. After speaking to the 2nd customer service supervisor and insisting not to be inconvenienced any more than I had already the supervisor ended up shipping a new carburetor to my home and arranged a local tech from a local Champion retailer to come to my home to install the new carb and get the unit to run on gas. The tech was successful in enabling a brand new out-of-the-box generator to run on gas. As I understand having a local tech who works for a local Champion retailer make a house call is not part of Champion's service business model. It should not have taken as much time, effort, and aggravation on my part to insist on having a special situation of having a local tech come to my house to get the generator to work as expected especially for a brand new unit. End of the day I am glad to have a fully functioning generator. I would advise future buyers to fully investigate service options for any portable genrator you plan to purcahse, Champion or otherwise.
