This winch kit is the perfect combination of power and performance to use with your ATV, trailer, boat or snowmobile.

The Champion Power Equipment 14001 4000-lb. ATV/UTV Winch Kit includes everything you need to start winching, including cables and contactor, a mounting channel, roller fairlead and a wiring kit with contactor and mini-rocker handlebar switch. With a rated line pull of 4000 pounds, mount this winch on your ATV or side by side with the mounting channel to quickly harness the strength of its 1.4-horsepower (12-volt) DC permanent magnet motor.

The 49-foot by 7/32-inch galvanized, super-duty aircraft cable is less prone to fraying, even when used in highly abrasive terrain, such as in rocks, mud, or sand. This incredibly strong cable is guided onto the 1.7 by 3.1-inch drum through the reliable roller fairlead to maximize the life of the cable. The three-stage planetary gear system along with the free-spooling clutch and ergonomic mini-rocker handlebar switch offer excellent control while winching. Designed with your safety in mind, this winch features dynamic braking of the winch drum so you’ll have the stopping power you need for each job.

With a gear reduction ratio of 180:1, the winch boasts a line speed of 3.3 feet per minute with a full load, and 12.8 feet per minute with no load. Accompanied by the heavy-duty clevis hook and handy strap, this compact and lightweight tool is anything but lightweight when it comes to power.

This is my 5th Champion winch and all are still in use. These winches are used from anything like getting stuck with my UTV or my ATV to hauling a big buck or a moose and I even have a winch on My kubota backhoe. Champion winches are very dependable and have never ever failed to work. I have Champion winches on both the front and rear of both my UTV and ATV. I also own 4 Champion generators - 1 for my home - 1 at each hunting camp and one for my work shop when its needed at remote job sites. Yes Champion is the best!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my pontoon boat lift that I swapped the hand wheel out for the power winch.  The install was easy and it worked really good.  I replaced a generic winch that only lasted a few years with this winch.  This winch feels far better in terms of quality and I think it will last quite a bit longer.  Would highly recommend!!

Excellent winch, high quality, would buy again

Just recently purchased for my tractor... yeah, not what you were thinking. Anyway, do a lot of work in lowlands with a small, lightweight tractor, but always a good chance of getting stuck. Little modification to brushguard, mounted  and already it has proven it's worth. Plenty of power, good purchase !

Well worth it

Bought this 4000lb. Winch for my hunting rig. Got stuck without winch in deep mn. woods few feet of snow, said never again. I ordered this full kit which included everything to hook it up to battery. I also ordered a 2" receiver winch mount which allows me to use it on both my trucks. This winch has more than enough power to pull my Crew Cab Duramax diesel. I would recommend this company's products to anyone needing a quality winch at an affordable price.

The 4000lb. Winch kit i bought work great better than I expected also bought a snach block and 2in. Quick receiver mount love it can't wait to use it more.

Purchased this for loading my race car on a trailer. Works great. I know it's for a 4 wheeler but works fine. I had to purchase a rain tight box to put the relays in.

I am having issues after the winch was installed and tested a few months earlier. The atv has been used frequently, but not the winch. Recently the switch and/or contactor shorted out and damaged the entire system. Now the winch itself, contactor, and switch all need to be replaced. I am trying to work with Champion Power Equipment - customer service, but it is difficult to get an actual person. As of now, I have not received any assurance that the warranty will be honored. If it is, I will update the review with a more favorable rating.

Issues right away. Haven't even used the winch yet.
