Generator looks great. It has a rugged design. Easily starts with the pull start and electric start. Nice that a battery tender/charger came with it. Everything on it looks easily accessible. Actually not that bad to move around thanks to the big wide solid wheels it comes with. Even on gravel you'll be able to move it and place it where it needs to go. Overall I am happy with my purchase hoping it will be reliable when I need it. I went with Champion because you can easily find parts on their website. Website also seems friendly to navigate.

Great product

Champion Power Equipment

I wanted a standby generator but didn't want to spend thousands. I researched several brands including location of authorized service dealers. One competitor's closest service was 160 miles away. Scratched that one off my list. Champion has 5 locations within 45 miles. I was particularly impressed by the Electronic Fuel Injection having experienced carburetor issues with equipment not used regularly. So I selected this model. When it arrived I didn't think I could unpack it and set it up without help.. It weighs over 200 lbs and I'm 83 years old. But I read the instructions and gave it a try. No problem. Installed the wheels and stand, added the included engine oil using the included long necked funnel and connected the included starting battery. Poured in some gasoline and was truly amazed by how quickly the engine started. FANTASTIC!!

Amazing Product

I use this generator for power outages. Although just recently purchased, I had a qualified electrical team hook up generator to supply power to my main panel box during an outage. Although 9200 watts cannot supply everything in my house all at the same time, it can supply a lot. Also I can switch circuit breakers on/off so I can run everything in the house except the heat strips in my heat pump Air Handler that requires about 9000 watts. A switch had to be installed to shut off the heat strips, but the heat pump can still provide a modest level of heat without the heat straps. Of course cooling is not a problem. I can then run the heat pump, refrigerator, computer and accessories, TV and accessories, lights, and most anything else on a 15 Amp circuit breaker. When testing this, the meter on the generator showed about a 65-70% load. If I turn off the outside AC unit (about 5400 watts) I can turn on and use such things as the electric stove, washer/dryer, dishwasher, hot water heater, and some portable heaters if needed, although not all at the same time. This 9200 watt Champion generator started right up. It provides everything I need to survive an extended power outage.

Excellent product

Very Happy with the purchase. Have not had a power outage since the purchase but I have tested the system and I was really surprised it powered the whole house up to include a 3.5 ton A/C system. I let the system run for 2 hours just to make sure it could handle the load, and to my surprise it did!!!! Also the EFI and electric start was just what I needed. I never wish or hope the power goes out but I'm feeling better knowing I have this Champion Generator at my home! G.L.

VERY IMPRESSED, LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Using this generator for home emergencies. I had an electrical input box installed to my 2,260 sq ft house. To break in the generator, I turned on all lights and fans in the house. I also periodically ran the house furnace and an air compressor. The generator worked great.

Plenty of power

I read many reviews and researched many different brands and models of generators and this has the best features and has the best bang for the buck. It is made very well and fuel injected so no worry about stale fuel clogging a carburetor. It is easy to start, easy to maneuver to where we need it and it has many ways to connect.

Quality product

It runs great, quiet, easy to use, runs the house. I Could not start when purchased. Called customer service with fast answer and part delivered within one and a half days. I tried the part, but it did not work. The customer service contacted repair shop,and they fixed it within a few days. The customer service department was excellent with all all the recommendations, and getting my generator fixed really fast. I really like this generator and bought another smaller one for camping. Thank you

Had problem, Great follow-up

I am first time owner of a generator, during my research, I chose Champion generator because of the customer service in case I need it. There is lots of helpful info on Champion help center and on YouTube as well. I needed some questions answered, so I called the phone number from the manual, called three times on different days, Everytime there was wait for one hour and ten minutes and call will disconnect between 45 mi.nutes to one hour for some reason, so I tried e mail I received a reply in two days. Before installation of transfer switch l e mailed few questions it's been over 10 days, no response. I wonder what will I do if I need to contact in emergency. On the positive note, Generator was delivered 3 days early. Packing was great. I loved the new smell of machine. Great workmanship. Very well built. Easy instructions, easy assembly. I will suggest 4 wheels with locks. It's heavy to move around for me. Started up in couple of tries . On my trial run it supported the whole house except A\C unit at 25%. I should have bought 10k Watts to run A/C. Still it's a great product if it last for the warranty period. I will recommend it. I will give 5 stars if I could speak with someone in case of urgency .

I bought this generator for home back-up. It had minor shipping damage as received and wouldn't start. Angie in Customer Service couldn't have been nicer. She promptly shipped the damaged part. After trying several things Angie authorized replacement of the generator. The replacement unit started immediately and works as designed. The Champion team turned lemons into lemonade!

Champion is great!

The area has lost power three times so far this year. We will be prepared for the next one. A neighbor has a 8500 watt Champion and runs his whole house with it, so this one will do the job through the Generlink the electric company installed behind the meter. The Generac is a good machine but it uses a lot of natural gas. I gave the Champion four stars because I haven't run it much. If it keeps the lights on I'll give it five.

A lot of watts for a fair price

Purchased unit had a defective coil. Will take approximately 1 month for small engine warranty shop to get it repaired.
