Was pretty easy putting it together. So far so good. Cooking well, he is still getting used to the temperature and how it cooks a bit different than the old one.

For the price, the grill is built well and assembled nicely.  If you are not great at assembling things you might struggle, but nothing was complicated and all the parts fit together perfectly.  I really appreciate that!  The tru-infrared gets very hot and cooks very evenly, these are often struggles with grills in at this price point.  It does create a lot of smoke as sugars or liquids evaporate off the infrared plates, but that is the only downside I can find to this unit at this price.

I purchased the char-broil kit to convert to natural gas and that was pretty simple too.  I know you could have purchased a gas line and then just remove the little bolts with the holes in them from each gas tube and the side burner, but the kit has new faceplates that stop sooner than propane and I am glad I have them.  Plus the kit comes with a 10 ft. line that has a nice quick release valve on it.

Great Grill at a Great Price

It is a very nice grill, it has infrared reflectors to stop the flare ups, and the cast iron grates are directly locked to the plates.
The grill comes with 182 pounds worth of parts, and no map of where the parts are, not even telling you if your looking for painted, black iron, or stainless parts.
It comes like one of those Russian dolls, boxes inside boxes, but no map as to what is in the box.
When you open all the boxes, and spread them out in your yard to assemble this grill, it gets pretty daunting.
Tomorrow, I have to remove the clamshell to install the heat shield, because an instruction page was missing.

The assembly is a two day job, or more if you go with the natural gas option.
So far I have 7 hours into it, there is a lot of parts, and you need to double check your work, because the instructions are fair, at best, but the grill is really nice
Everything was packed well, and the final frame is rock solid.
not like those flimsy big box store grills that fold up if you wheel them across the yard.

Really rock solid grill

Had a natural gas Char Broil for 20 years and could no longer get parts for it so decided to buy new. Just assembled the grill and it went together very easily (took a little time but straightforward) . I am not pleased with the fact that when I  searched the Sam's club site for a natural gas grill this one came up and is advertised as dual fuel. Well sure it is dual fuel but nowhere does it say on this site that you need to purchase a separate conversion kit.  If I missed it I apologize but during my initial search and now again after purchase I see no info about optional kits.

I haven't used it yet but I'd highly recommend putting metal knobs instead of plastic turn off knobs overall very good looking.

Char-Broil

Packing was damaged as well as dents door frame bottom. During assembly two dents were noticed on the top. Too late in process to return the product, will live with it. 
    Some assembly was challenging or confusing toook about 8 hrs.  To complete.

Damage and assembly

First bought this grill site to store at Walmart. They brought the box out and the box had a big dent in it. Tore open the dent and of course the grill had a dent. Returned it immediately,  and bought online at Sam's club with free delivery.  2 weeks later I get it delivered.  No dents in the box. Open the  box, and of course the base of the grill has a big dent in it. I was so tired of it, I hammered out the dent, and put it together anyway. 3 hours later, it was done. Pretty easy, just take your time. The grill is really nice and cooks very well without flare ups. Just wish it didn't have a dent in it...

great grill, delivery sucks

They are Christmas gifts and have not been used yet! Surely looking forward to see if they meet all our expectations are per the ad that accompanied them.

Purchased this grill about a year ago, and have used it very frequently. Unfortunately, it no longer works.  The ash pan rusted and completely fell apart, and now it won't light. Will never purchase another char-broil product ever again!
