The machine is not too loud, so I felt comfortable using it at night. The process was quick; I was able to sharpen four knives in less than ten minutes. I like that it has a three-stage process because it gives the perfect finish to the edges. The size is perfect because it doesn't take up much space in the kitchen. Instead of using the handheld sharpener we all get with the knife block, this sharpener just requires you pulling the knife through the left slot and then the right and you're good to go! The instructions are a little long-winded and I feel better pictures would help consumers, but the value, look and high-end feel of this gadget is perfect.

Has a sharpening stone, Honing slots and a serrated blade conditioner that work great.  We have never owned an electric knife sharpener but now I will never go back to doing them by hand.

I would have given it a five star except the slots would not accept some of my wider bladed pocket knives.  It works great on everything else.  You can definitely tell the difference between the three stages - so you know the coarseness of each stage.   I like the idea that it is rechargeable because it makes it more portable.
