I bought this backing plate because of excess heat and pad wearing out in2-3 jobs. definitly noticed a cooler pad and it helps to prevent compounds from breaking down to quick which relates to more time and product being used. Has great flex which allows you to work of angles and rounded contours on todays vehicles. Definitly a great addition and worth buying.
