Christmas Carol Blu-ray Disc -  Filmed in Shrewsbury, England, this version of Dickens' beloved classic is considered by many to be the best. All the performances are excellent, but George C. Scott makes the often-played Ebenezer Scrooge his very own. Highly recommended.

I was very happy to add this movie to my old Christmas DVD collection.  While most Christmas movies are now available for streaming it's still nice to have it in DVD format as part of my collection.

This is the only Christmas Carol I own and do not wish to buy any other. I have seen others but none compare to George C Scott. A wonderful edition to my Christmas movies. Will not disappoint.

There have been many movie versions of A Christmas Carol, but my wife and I like this one the best. I believe it is most faithful to Dickens' original novella. Even though this is a blu-ray disk, beware that the movie was made originally for TV in 1984 (before wide-screen TVs), so it is only available in the 4x3 "full screen" format (which actually leaves a lot of blank space on both side of the picture on a modern wide-screen TV).

Great movie

The best version of Charles Dicken's classic story. The characters are very real; you can relate to them. The message of what Christmas is about is brought to life. The whole family will enjoy this one.

A Must Own Christmas Classic

This is my favorite version of A Christmas Carol! George C Scott portrays an excellent Ebenezer Scrooge!
