Most tension rods can't hold much weight. I have an old home. The window frame is not an even plane, so it's difficult for a tension rod to fully grip. This one can easily hold a heavier weight curtain, and I'm confident that the rod won't fall if my dog brushes by. And it's a good-looking design. Very well made for the price. I'd absolutely buy another if the need arose.

My Perfect Chroma Tension Rod

Bought the pole a month ago and installed it immediately. How easy was it and how great does it look.. such a versatile piece and no drilling needed so didn't need to bother anyone ! Ha ! Love Umbra anyway and this is my second and longer curtain rail from them. Thank you!

Stylish

I love these curtain rods. They are super easy to install, just insure you use the center brace for extra rod support. I have very light curtains hanging on them and have had no issues with them falling down. I don't think the would suit heavy curtains. Also, love the stream line contemporary look!

Love these rods!

This curtain rod is exactly what I was looking for! I bought this with Umbra's "anywhere curtain rod/divider." Easy to use & I do not need to worry about its length because it's adjustable; fits well on my window frame.If you want to refrain from damaging your walls? This is the right product for you.

Love it!

The material has a nice finish and high quality appearance. It is SO easy to install!! Some tension rods have a weird mechanism, but this one actually compresses and then expands to create a strong hold. I haven't had any issues with it falling. Note: the longer rod (54”-90”) comes with a center bracket, which you install at the top of the window frame with screws or a thick foam sticker (both are provided).

High quality & easy to install!

I wrote a review for the Cappra rod that I thought was for this rod!  Oops. If you're reseraching, and considering between the two, do not get this one. Horrible. Sent it back after hours of trying many, innovative bracket placements to get the curtains right. Didn't work. NOW this rod, this rod worked great first try, get price and I love it!

Perfect for the Perfectionist!!

The only issue is that there should have been two brackets for the wall for balance if mounting above the window.  Had to purchase some brackets to make rod balance if not using just the tension part of rod within window frame.  Good value for money.

Looks nice

Looks good, but was very difficult to put up as it kept moving and getting looser as soon as I fitted it into the window space.  And when I tried to open the curtains a few inches, it fell down or moved on the wall very easily.  I find that the spring tension rods are doing this more than the tension rods that screw in opposite directions to tighten.  I think for a window with decorative curtains that do not get open and closed regularly it would be great but not so much for my purposes.

not staying up as well as hoped

I thought this product would be an excellent option for our bedroom window. Always trusted Umbra products. About a month after the rod installation, it fell off in the middle of the night (!). The curtain isn't heavy at all. Still don't understand why it's not holding. Wanted to buy other rods for 3 other windows…. Will have to find another solution.
