Except that OTHER pets, large and small, in dog parks can't let go of them once my dog's squeaky balls are in their mouth. And no dog parent can bear to tear the balls from their pets new found love. Definitely buy multiples of the small Squeaker Ball online for great value, to keep the peace in dog parks and help my dog get over losing these balls at the rate of 4 a year. These balls bounce really well for dogs of all sizes to show off their mid-air acrobats, yet soft and small enough to squeak in the mouths of small 8 lb pups.

Buy them in bulk repeatedly. What's not to like!

Litter of 11 puppies love these and the puppy size Kong both that can be easily cleaned at the end of the day and hold up.

My dog adores this ball. It has great bounce and the squeak lasts even with use. We take it to the dog park and other dogs abandon the balls they are playing with and want Ruth's ball!!!

My puppies absolutely love playing with these chuckit balls! They seem very durable and the pups enjoy the sound they make.

A big hit

Tried lots of dog balls. Dog usually chews them up in a couple of hours.
- Little Dachsund, believe it or not, he LOVES to chew the balls to death.

Hartz heavy-duty balls last about a month (except for the squeaker, which usually doesn't last a whole day). The Hartz balls are larger, a little TOO large for the tiny Dachsund's tiny mouth, I think.

These last months...and months...
except for the squeaker, which only lasts a few days.

Chuckit also makes an "Ultra" bounce (no squeaker) ball, and they bounce better and last even longer...but the Dachsund seems to prefer these softer (hollow) balls. He can bite more completely on them since they are more hollow than the ultra bounce balls, and apparently that is more satisfying for him.

Also tried the small Kong. Expensive. The dog did not like it as well, probably because it is harder rubber than these. It also is a little bigger, like the Hartz ball, not fitting as well in the Dachsund's tiny, narrow mouth.

Ball lasts forever, even with a dedicated chewer

My springer spaniel absolutely loves the ultra squeaker balls. He's had two size L but the squeaker quits working the on the first day each time. He hasn't chewed it up or anything. It's just that his jaw is so strong I think it squeezes the squeaker loose inside. This time I bought the size XL for him hoping it would be harder for him to dislodge the squeaker but same result. It died it the first hour of play. The ball in itself is durable. Bounces great and he loves to squeeze it in his jaw he just wished it would still squeak. Maybe it's a good thing though or I might have gone insane by now with all the squeaking LOL

Great ball but short lived squeak

I'm an Aussie/Blue Heeler mix who is tough on toys. Only Chuckit! balls withstand my version of fetch so they are the only brand my Mom buys. Squeaky toys are my favorite and I'm terribly distraught that the squeaker dislodged within 30 minutes. Fortunately it remained inside the ball with no obvious means of escape (unlike the previous version) so it wasn't thrown away. I'm hoping you make one that doesn't lose its squeak soon! I've attached a photo of me asking Mom to fix it.

Squeaker failure

Got the medium Ultra Squeaker for our border collie mix, who is an absolute fetch monster. It was tons of fun at first, but we were both quickly disappointed with the quality. Within 15 minutes of playing catch indoors, the squeaker quit squeaking and had become a rattle instead. The honeymoon was over, and he went back to his favorite toys. The ball itself seems up to the usual Chucking durability standards, so it still rates 3 stars for that.

Squeaker came loose right away

My dog just loved to fetch these balls and squeak them while retrieving them. Unbelievably, BOTH squeakers in BOTH balls I had stopped working in just a couple of days. You could even hear one of them just rattling around inside the ball. What a disappointment.

Squeakers died right away

We bought 2 of these.  Our GRetriever loves the Chuckit balls....and loves squeakers.  BUT, in two successive days the squeakers were dead in BOTH balls.  What is wrong here? He LOVED them while they worked.  Guys, you really need to re-do this product.  Right idea, poor execution.
