The pieces are chunky and he was able to build it mostly by himself. The motion control is a cool feature.

He is too young to put it together himself, but he's still able to help by handing the parts. He loves changing the drop down bridge to stationary. I was told it's his favorite toy to play with.

It works real well and works as a great cat toy. Our cat bats it everytime the train goes by. I love that it cam be connected to the wooden tracks. We plan on make it long enough to go throughout our home. Amazing toy for kids of all ages!

Funnest toy around

The instructions are fairly easy to follow and the tracks connect together by just putting them into place. My 3rd daughter helped me put the tracks together and even placed the stickers on. The set comes with 1 battery operated train and it definitely goes fast around the tracks. If your kids love trains this starter set is a must have, they will have loads of fun.

It took a little bit to understand the directions and put the track together but once they got it going they really enjoyed it. My 4 year old enjoyed putting the stickers on all by himself. It's neat that you can add more train sets with connector pieces. But this track is a great size on its own to keep a little one entertained and not take up too much space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] putting the track together which was very hard even with the instructions. the train went off the track at the car crossing section everytime it went around. and the train also only lasted a couple hours before the gears were striped and train wouldn't move at all anymore.
