Can be affordable with a small amount required, but offers good quality at a high price.

Effectively hydrates and soothes dry skin.

I found this when dealing with sensitive skin on my face and allergic breakouts.  It's the only thing that calmed it and restored it to normal.  I now use this daily and always under my makeup.  Also use it for itchy skin anywhere on my body.  I highly recommend !

I have used Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream for almost 2 years now.  I have sensitive skin that also gets very dry and flaky in the winter regardless of what I do......until I found this product.  We had an unusually cold winter but it never showed on my face!  I will also be 60 later this year, and Avene has helped reduce those fine lines and wrinkles and people don't believe me when I tell them my age.  My 25 year old daughters use this as well.  We've also used it as a diaper cream for our granddaughter and it was a perfect solution.

This is amazing. i struggled with dry skin for so long. years. nothing worked. Until a friend showed me Avene. She said it would work and she was absolutely correct. I love it. thank you!!

Male with sensitive skill

After years of using an expensive skin care routine, the company changed their formula to a “new and improved” product, to which I immediately had a reaction and developed seborrheic dermatitis. That was about 7 years ago. Since that time, I have spent thousands trying to find products that I could tolerate and would heal my skin. I got samples of Cicalfate from my dermatologist and put them in a drawer with all the other products I could no longer use. About a year ago I pulled them out and started using. When I put it on my face, there was no reaction, no redness, just an “ahhh”’feeling. I have been using it ever since and my skin feels and looks great. I won’t use anything else going forward, so please don’t change the formula to “new and improved.” For the record, I am 70, fair skinned and grew up spending summers on SC beaches. In the past week, 2 friends told me my skin looks pretty. That’s not something I’m used to hearing. Thank you for a great product.

A Great Product

Hands down the best thing to combat age and redness. I’m 65 and this cream is the first thing I put on my face and I sleep in it every night. I do mix it with a tinted spf during the day and it’s perfect for days I’m just not feeling like wearing makeup. Love this and pray they never change this formula!

The very best for rosacea and aging skin.

I started using this cream while using Fluorouracil (chemo cream from my dermatiologist). My face was dry, irritated, peeling, and all around uncomfortable due to the chemo cream. I thickly applied the Cicalfate+ cream, almost like a mask to my face. Though my face was still extremely irritated due to the chemo cream, the Cicalfate+ cream was like a reprieve from the irritation. It is fragrance free and really soothed my skin. I would highly recommend Cicalfate+ cream for people with ultra sensitive skin and hypersensitivity to smells.

Works well as a barrier repair cream and I’ve used it multiple times to recover from laser and IPL. It’s thick and creates a nice occlusive barrier, definitely not something I would use in public and expect to look good. I feel it’s best used as a restorative solution, overnight is probably best.

Product seems to work ok, I had to return it as the oil and the cream had separated. Once I got a bottle that had the right cream, it's been pretty good.

Cicalfate is typically a fabulous product -- I've used for two years. The last order was defective in that when the tube was squeezed, liquid and cream the consistency of sour milk poured out. I literally squeezed the entire tube down the bathroom sink. I have emailed Avene two times and have left one less than positive review [which is never do], but still no response. It's frustrating!

Defective tube of Cicalfate

I ordered this after hearing great things only to have my tube come with water exploding out of the bottle. Sure, it may be safe to use still (saw some responses from Avene below) HOWEVER, it is extremely inconvenient and messy to use. Would not recommend this product because of it.
