Advent Calendar

Can be impressive, but occasionally lacks detail.

We bought this for our 8year old son just to have a family night putting them all together.. even tho it is a one a night thru Christmas calendar but we love Christmas and couldn't wait

Family fun

LEGO

This is an advent calendar which obviously won't be opened until December, so I cannot comment on this years contents. I have purchased these calendars for my grandchildren for a number of years. They love them and always ask as Christmas approaches "Have you got us a calendar?" These are now part of the Christmas Tradition. You have something to show for your money and is certainly 'For life not just for Christmas'. They are not cheap but then no Lego products are.

Busy fingers busy minds

I've bought this for my son for Christmas 2018 as he doesn't eat chocolate/ sweets etc. Obviously we haven't started using it yet but every year I buy one of these and they are very good. This one is also slightly cheaper than other stores. My son can't wait to start opening his Lego advent calendar.

Looks good

We haven't opened this yet obviously but we had a similar one last year and it went down really well. It was the first thing my son wanted to do when he raced home from school each day! It seems pricey for an advent calendar but on par with lego prices and it can come out every Christmas to play with.

Great fun alternative to chocolate!

I bought this for my son who is mad on Lego, he will love it. Great activity to do in a morning, learning whilst building.

Excellent mini figures

My son loves this better than chocolate advent this Lego advent has won hands down he can't wait for the 1st December and Asda offered the best deal on it.

Lego mania

I bought this ready for the Christmas period for my son. I brought it online as previous years I have gone to buy one and they have sold out. Arrived sooner than expected. Packaged lovely.

Always a winner with the children at Christmas

I have to say that this year this advent calendar is my favorite of the three. But even this one is not perfect. The minifigure count has dropped yet again to a mere 5 figures. None of them reference any of this year's themes, which is disappointing. The whole figure lot is bland, unoriginal, and the santa figure for some reason no longer uses that nice and rare face print from last year. In that respect, the calendar is disappointing. However the mini builds are actually really nice this year. I like the references to sets from this year, as well as the little scene additions like the holiday clock. The spaceship and passenger train are fun. These builds redeem most of the calendar (again, most), but the minifigures here really take away from the set, because they are so vital to the calendar. It is a fine set but I really think this year's calendars overall have been very sub-par.

Decent calendar overall, but a bit lackluster...

I have bought a lego city advent calendar every year for the last 5 years and this is the worst one by far. In it, there are 3 children 1 vendor and way too many toys. There is no plot and everything seems random. Instead of buying one, just save yourself money and make a better one yourself.

Every year we're getting less & less value for money and minifigures in the annual advent box as collector's.
Now to top it off they reduce the price with 20% two weeks before the start of the advent time. Feel pretty cheated as collector by LEGO buying it 2 weeks ago for the full prices.
