i have been using this for the last six years and just love better than a permanent color much better for you hair  shinier and healthier  I order on line this time as the Walmart stores have stopped selling this color in the store would also like to see it back in the stores

I have been using this color for a little while and I love it! It is the prefect shade of red. It does come out as a bright cherry red almost when first done but fades into a beautiful deep auburn color(my hair was a medium to dark brown originally). I was having difficulty finding it in stores so I was excited to find it and order it from walmart.

I discussed using this type of product with my stylist because I wanted some gray coverage but didn't want to deal with roots and a drastic or demanding coloring schedule! I learned that it is much easier on and much less damaging to one's hair than permanent color which contains ammonia. Ammonia makes hair very porous and causes permanent damage which is why hair colored and recolored (with ammonia product) begins to appear less shiny and sort of "muddy" in appearance. Non-permanent color washes away in approximately the same time frame in which permanently colored hair needs root touch up. The change in appearance as the Natural Instincts wears away is subtle and no "roots demarcation". I recolor at my convenience because the change is subtle and like I said - no big roots issue. I have been using Natural instincts for several years now and am well pleased with the performance and the effect on my hair. Easy to apply, no unpleasant odor, additional color sachet and conditioner (for a few more shampoos) nice bonuses - I would recommend this product to others. ( I personally use it about once every 3 months, it depends on how often you shampoo, it is suggested it lasts thru 28 shampoos.)

Gentle and effective way to cover gray!

I purchased 9 boxes of this product after hearing from a Walgreens clerk that this product is being discontinued. It wasn't clear if the product was being discontinued at Walgreens or by Clairol. For ten years, I've been using the Midnight color because it works best with my Asian complexion and black hair. After trying other products from Clairol, Loreal, and Garnier, I've found that Natural Instincts is the easiest to use, smells the best, covers all of my white hairs well, doesn't cause more of my hair to fall out, and is gentle. It also acts more like a permanent hair color in Midnight, which I like. Also, it doesn't stain my skin or bleed out for days like some other products. After one shampoo washing, I don't have to fear getting black stain on white towels. Once, I tried the "creme" formula of this same product line, but it was messier and left stains on my white towels for a few shampoos afterwards. I'm really hoping that Clairol isn't discontinuing this product. In the meantime, I think I might buy another 9 boxes just in case.

Hate having to use any other product

Your hair will look fantastic and extremely natural. The ease of use is only matched by the true color. It doesn't strip the hair of it's natural beauty.

The Gentle Giant

15RG was a color I used for years and years. Then about 2 1/2 years ago the powers that be at Clairol decided to discontinue it. I was fortunate to find 2 years worth elsewhere but that was it. I had two months of using different brands that totally messed up my hair then learned that the color was back again. I love the color and am so happy it is back. Now I need Walmart to carry it in the store for me. PLEASE.

I have used Clairol natural Instincts for over ten years. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't what to use permanent color. I receive compliments often about how beautiful my hair color is. I have gray that the Clairol colors a soft strawberry blond.

wonderful product

I have always liked the Clairol products & especially this shade. It's looks so natural & b/c it is non-permanent hair color, it doesn't give your hair that "dyed" look! But on the downside of ordering this online, is why Wal-Mart couldn't have shipped it to the closest Wal-Mart to me so I could have picked it up INSTEAD of having to pay almost $7 in shipping!!!!

Excellent shade of hair color

I have used a few different shades of this brand. I do like this brand, now I will say this color - Ash blond- gave my hair a strange red/brassy tint at the roots. I do use Clairol 'color' - Nice & easy- to lighten the roots, but this is the first one that went redish on me. I thought ash wasn't suppose to do that. Can't say what my natural color would be - aside from the grey these days- but I wanted a beige blond - light or dark. I color my hair when it is about an inch or so from scalp.

nice for that need a pick me up look

Unfortunately, Clairol tends to change its hair colors without prior notice to its regular users. I had a go-to color I could always count on when it suddenly was no longer available. Googling for it produced zip-0 results. What I thought might be a suitable replacement was double the price and produced unwanted brassy highlights. What's worse is that Clairol continues to include a tube full of its coconut-scented creme rinse in every package. Well, I refuse to put anything on my hair or body that smells like food. So, into the garbage it goes. What a waste! Why don't they return to the small packets of innocuous creme rinse they formerly included -- and reduce the price? Most importantly is that Clairol stay true to it colors -- and it's customers!
