Truly does work on resistant grays as well as dark hair. Comes with a small tube of after color conditioner. In the box, it's  the developer, color, conditioner instructions and disposable gloves. Longer hair requires 2 boxes of this product. Dark hair will require 2 boxes (or its just brassiness). The smell is pretty strong, so use in a well-ventilated room. If you are just looking for highlights, 1 box will do. I have used this product every few summers for years and I do like how my hair comes out when using it.

I have used this Forever, Better then any Salon for sure, leaves No Orange like SALONS and they charge alot of Money, just apply Born Blonde Beautiful color with out a Toner.

I have been using this product for 35 years or so.  I find it very easy to use.  I touch up half of my roots first, rinse, then do the other half.  Otherwise, I find it too much lightening for me. 

Note: the last two numbers of the lot number are the expiration date year.  Clairol recommends not using this product if three or more years past expiration date.

I love Clairol Born Blonde permanent hair dye!  It's super easy to use! Not only is it easy to use, it does a fabulous job dyeing my hair! The conditioner that comes with it, makes your hair feel soft and refreshed! Instead of thinking I just dyed my hair, you feel like I just got a hair conditioning done at the salon! It's a awesome product! I would absolutely recommend it to a friend who needs a Fabulous New look!

I will recommend this product and this hair color for women of brown to dark k brown Skin tone have more fun. I love it , my favorite.

While this color turned out more caramel than blonde, I was happy with the results and before I told a hair instructor what I did, he approached me to say, 'I LOVE your hair color.' I have brown hair naturally with underlying natural red undertones so it's no surprise. I had used Revlon dark brown (darker than I usually do) before highlighting. I did one side then then other  and although I can't tell much difference, next time I will alternate sides so the timing is more equal.  For 1st time home highlighting, I'm impressed with myself and the product.

Don't use...I have dark brown UNDYED hair and it dyed my hair orange

I have medium brunette hair and this kit turned  my hair orange. It says that people with brunette to black hair can use this product. I have used many highlighting kits by L’Oréal and had wonderful honey blonde highlighting results. I also regularly color my roots with L’Oréal, so I am not new to coloring. I bought this kit by Clairol on sale and what a mistake that was. I will only use L’Oréal from now on. Do not recommend.
