Great Bird Feeder.  Squirrels have tried everything to get food, and have failed.  Now they just wait for whatever feed drops to the ground from the happy birds visiting everyday.  All 4 perches are being used by birds, and they seem to rotate and share.  We used a long 1 inch diameter 12 foot tall poll, with a poll hook attachment at top of poll.  This is a well thought out bird feeder.  We've had several feeders, none of which withstood the squirrels.

These are sturdy and hold a lot of seed, so my birds are always happy.  They were packaged in a great box so they arrived in perfect condition and in a timely manner.

Although no bird feeder is "squirrel proof"  this one does a good job.  The birds seem to love it, and it's my second one.  It holds a lot of seed and it does it's job perfectl

Attracts lots of birds

Bought this to keep squirrels out. They destroyed my last one. This one is great. The perch is the magic. The squirrels are too heavy. When they put pressure on the perch.... the perch will move down and close the opening. They cannot chew this one up. Thats what they did to my last one.

Great bird feeder. Durable. Squirrel Proof

So far this feeder has kept its claim about being squirrel proof.  The outer part (with the perches) is spring loaded and comes down to cover the holes.  It was more than I usually spend for bird feeders, but considering I had just bought another tube feeder that the squirrels destroyed, it has been money well spent.

I've had several of these and the squirrels have tried their best but can't get to the birdseed. They stay on the ground and est the seed that the birds drop.

Best squirrel-proof bird feeder

So far, this has been perfect in deterring the squirrels. It's easy to fill, and seems sturdy enough to last. The birds love it, and it took only 5 minutes for them to figure out how to use it.

overall an excellent bird feeder that is squirrel proof depending on how you hang it. Had it for about a month and squirrels can't get it yet. I like that you can put 3 different types of seed in it. Not as easy to clean as I would like, and you can get mold in it . I live in the Southern US, and birdseed just molds here due to high humidity. But this feeder does keep it dryer longer than most.

Squirrels pulled out the metal sides of the bottom feeders to block, and keep the feeder from closing all the way down, then chewed the plastic from around the bottom which allowed the feed to be exposed all the time. So, they ate at their leisure, because I grew tired od pulling the metal out from blocking the slide from going down. I took it down because I got tired of the herd of squirrels fighting over bird seeds.

Squirrel are smarter than the designers!
