I just received this, so I can't comment on durability. What I can say is it feels substantially stronger and heavier than my last floor mat which cracked in no time at all. It was shipped flat so no issue waiting for it to lay flat. The beveled edge is great! No more getting my chair wheel caught  when  trying to get my chair back on the mat. My chair rolls easily on this mat. Right now the upgrade and the extra expense of this mat seems worth it. I'll have to wait and see hoe durable it is.

Just had it a week. So far, I am pleased. I think it should do the trick.

I was put off by the price, but figured in the long run, it would be worth it. I was very pleased when it arrived. I believe it will be worth the extra $$
