Needed to fill in a set of irons I'm building. Although these are no longer available from Dunlop I searched all the appropriate sites and slowly found each iron I needed to build out with my spec shafts. I hit a friends and at 67 years old I needed all the help I could get. Now I did buy a set of the Halo xl's last year. So easy to hit, in fact crazy easy to hit. But let's face it they are not easy on the eye. But I won't give them up because when your swing goes on vacation these will keep you from giving up the game. I'm hoping these regular Xl's will be almost as easy with some workability….

Great clubs at a great price

Dunlop Sports

These irons are unbelievably forgiving.  Experienced the impact of them in the first round I played, and as I played subsequent rounds, they continued to improve as I got the feel of them.  Satisfied with the purchase.

Unbelievable Forgiveness

these irons feel like a cheat code. the sweet spot feels huge and they somehow feel soft and cushiony yet solid and powerful at the same time. they are physically much better than the starter set I had prior, but the advantage they give me mentally is equally, if not slightly more, important. and with the 4i-dw set I got, I have three more clubs to choose from than I had with my standard starter set. I feel like I definitely have the tools I need now to take my game to the next level.

just what I needed

Lost my 9 iron. Ordered a new 9 iron from Cleveland. Was able to order to my specs with the same grip I currently play. Club was built for me and delivered in less than 2 weeks. It arrived just before a tournament I was entered in. Shipping was fast and was exactly what I ordered.

Fast service

I'd been gaming Ping ISI-K irons since the late 1990s.  I took about 15 years off from golf while my kids were growing up and never upgraded my equipment.  My now adult son has gotten into golf, therefore I've gotten back into golf.  I'd already upgraded woods, wedges and gotten some hybrids.  But I was still rocking 25+ year old irons.  I'd been looking at a nice forgiving set of irons that would help me get a little more height and distance as well as more forgiveness.  I'd been eyeballing the Cleveland irons because I'd recently purchased some CBX wedges and these have a similar look to them.  Once they put them on sale I pulled the trigger and I couldn't be happier.  They perform well and took very little adjustment from my old irons.  I hit them more consistently right away and I'm very satisfied with the clubs.

Fantastic game improvement iron

I am a senior golfer (80 years old).  I wanted a club that was easy to swing and gave me the greatest chance of hitting relatively straight shots from both the fairway and the tee.  I chose this club because of the counter balance weight in the grip.  I had already bought the iron set and had felt the effect of this weight in the grip.  Anyway, I hit most shops acceptably or very well.  The club is doing exactly what I wanted it to do.

Great Purchase

I played with these clubs as a rental set last year. With no expectations…I struck the ball more consistently than my regular irons. I am a senior and they are the perfect club for me. 

I waited until my season was over to fully evaluate my play before deciding to switch. There is strong evidence that I will improve my handicap by the confidence these clubs give me in my approach shots.

These are the clubs that will rock my game!

Honestly I fell in love with these from the moment I held them. I can get a sense of the clubhead better and they just felt smooth to swing. They're the most forgiving hybrid/iron I've ever swung, and they have a consistent arc that makes the game much more fun to play.

Immediate satisfaction!

Not quite as good as the Smart Sole wedges, but Smart Sole doesn't come in a pitching wedge.  Easy to hit, forgiving, and accurate. Makes the game easier and it's still a conforming club. The standard grip is very thin and not very useful. On the other hand, Cleveland will sell and install a better grip of your choice for a minor additional charge. Excellent customer service and fair price for the club. Order directly from their website and get it in about a week.

Terrific Pitching Wedge

I can't hit this club--every attempt goes low left.  I planned to buy a set if I liked the #4 Iron.  I have an old Cobra #4 iron that I can get in the air and reasonably straight--I had hoped this Cleveland XL Halo #4 iron would be an improvement over my Cobra club--not even close.
