[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these to replace some broken ones.
This product was easy to install and fixed the shelf immediately.
The item is sturdy and simple to install.

Mine have held for almost 20 years. They are just now needing to be replaced and maybe five out of 35 need replacing. Longevity also means not overloading the shelves. Maximum load capacity is important here as it is in the trucking industry and luggage/people on a plane. Better to err on the side of caution. My daughter's clips failed because she stacked things on her shelf that should have been stored in floor bins and bookcases. These clips were installed in our home during construction and chosen by builder, and since they are spaced 12" apart, they are not in a stud.

Clips worked OK for over 20 years. Since we had new carpet installed we had to disassemble. The clips almost all broke, which I can live with since they were old plastic. I bought the replacement clips since that's all we need and they don't fit. Don't even know what to use now. I don't want to buy a whole new system right now. If I can't rely on the replacement parts I won't buy this type next time.

Annoying

These clips simply do NOT work and ClosetMaid refuses to stand behind its merchandise.

The design is extremely poor. An inordinate amount of strength is needed to get the clips onto the shelves and then they pop out. Additionally, if you can get the clips on the shelf, there is just enough space for the clips to fit into the spaces between the wires with no wiggle room of even an 1/18th of an inch to play. 

I have had contact with the company through a phone conversation and via email.  During the first contact, I had to educate the representatives about what and how the products were supposed to be used. During the second contact I got apologies and nothing else.

I have tried every suggestion made, both from the commentators on the product and company representatives.

My life style changed and I planned to install 15 simple shelves as opposed to the installation of different configurations which I easily did years ago.

I am on my 4th attempt to rectify this problem as I have no other choice, but honestly, I am out of ideas. I have no more money to invest in this failed project (approximately $400), I am tired of living out of boxes (well over a month), re-purchasing more hardware, re-plastering/re-painting, dealing with a company that doesn't care about its consumers, etc.

At this point, I have a bag full of used clips and shelving with the rubberized covering ripped off because, these clips do NOT fit.
 
This has been a frustrating and extremely inconvenient experience with no apparent resolution.

The bottom line is that the clips do NOT work and the company does NOT stand behind its product.

These clips do NOT work. Do Not waste your money.

The instructions fail to tell you a critical thing you need to know. That they would not caution you is a disturbing reflection on the company. When placing the clips, make sure they are positioned where gaps between shelf wires will be. Otherwise, the shelf will be blocked from entry to the cradle. I was infuriated that I had to rip out some of the clips and leave big ugly useless holes in the wall, and that I had to return to the store to get replacement clips.  ClosetMaid doesn't care, evidently.

buyer beware

What a joke — I'm expanding the shelves and added several of these along with the older screw-in clips. One bit off with a hammer strick and the plastic hook bends in and it's impossible to get the shelf in. Even without it being so easy to ruin the clip, it's near impossible to get it in. I hate, hate, hate these things! I'm moderately handy and this should be a no-brainer and easy install for me. Now, I'm giving up and having a handyman come to do the job.

Impossible to use

Wall clips are horrible to install and from what I can see not even worth the trouble. Hard to get onto the wire shelf and even harder to remove the shelf afterwards.

Nightmare to install

2nd time these have failed and the shelf was ripped from the wall. I have found the SLICK push pin is not expanding the anchor. Yes, I confirmed they were not installed on a stud.

DO NOT USE

The plastic degrades over time and breaks apart. The shelving just comes crashing down. Use metal clips in place of the plastic is the only way to fix the problem.

Do Not Use

The shelving unit would not fit into the wall clips once they were on the wall. Do not buy this system!!
