Assembly requires minimal tools and clear instructions.

Can be clear and easy to follow, but also confusing and poorly written.

Provides plenty of capacity in a compact footprint.

Used it horizontally in my family room as a coffee table and can store my knitting projects, scrapbook projects and ceramic project in baskets underneath so I have everything I need when relaxing with my honey.  Looks great and so very functional.

Bought this for my Granddaughter to hold her Doll accessories.  I like that it isn't completely open so I can do a little book shelf if I choose.

Nice for the price

I just moved into a small house by my school and decided this would be a smaller alternative to a traditional dresser. It was so easy to put together, very sturdy, and so adorable! I love it so much!

It came chipped up on some of the boards. It it was around $60 but knowing now how cheap the wood is I wouldn't have wanted to pay more than $15. Piece of junk.

Junk

The price was right & the unit had the size cubeicals that I wanted. I didn't bother putting the faux wood on the back of the 5 openings as I have cloth baskets in all 9 of the openings to store kids toys & books & others reviews led me to believe that in my case it wasn't worth the trouble. If I ever decide to install them I'll probably try my staple gun before I try those awful teeny nails! No problems with assembly except that the caps provided to cover the screws didn't want to stay on. They don't show because of where the organizer is located in my home, but if they were showing I'd probably just super glue or hot glue them on. It's your typical wood-like finish which has scratched already (we've owned less than a month). Overall I got what I expected for the price I paid.

Price is right, you get what you pay for

Bought this product at a Wal Mart store.  Bought the 9-cube and 6-cube models. Opened the boxes and all the parts and pieces were there, even a little extra hardware.   Assembly instruction were pretty clear and easy to understand making assembly simple.*  Also bought the pink polka-dot fabric inserts for some of the cubes since this item was for the bedroom of 4 & 5 year-old girls.  The girls love it because it's pretty and they can access the drawers (fabric inserts) for their clothes. I will probably buy one or two more units to complete their room.  I would recommend these units to friends and family.

*I only gave this a 4-star ratings because several dowels broke during assembly with very little pressure.  This issue has been posted by other reviewers in the past.  I picked up replacement dowers at a local hardware store.

Closet Maid Cubes

I am giving it 3 stars for lack of good directions in putting it together.; some parts did not fit according to instructions and once we finished, we noticed some chips that may or may not have been inflicted by us during building it. But we used dark color furniture marker to cover them. It now looks quite lovely, especially with the red cloth bins we put in the cubicles. Eventual good looks, so-so instructions, okay quality, excellent price!

Good Looking

Cardboard backing, uneven boards (rocks on floor), exposed edges.  Very easy to put together and are using, but surprisingly low quality. The BHG cube storage is much sturdier but we needed this height.

Surprisingly low quality

The box it can in appeared to have been ripped open and taped back up. There were chips and scratches that for the most part I could hide by putting those sides in the back. The covers for the screws were a joke and when placed on the bottom just make the whole unit rock. The holes should be drilled so the screws can be tightened flush with the surface. I wasn't thrilled with the over all organizer but it's for my son's playroom so it will do.

It is ok

I bought this product because I had just bought a 6-cube organizer from closetmaid and it came in good condition and easy to put together, i really liked it. As soon as i got this in the mail, my husband opened it and bits and pieces of the wood were already falling out of the box, they had chipped off completely. I also bought a cabinet to go with it and that was doing exactly the same thing. I am taking it back this week.
