I'm now working on another mat with this hook and it is a dream! It makes it so much easier and the stitch spaces are more appropriate for the mats. I highly recommend this hook for any big yarn type projects! It is a comfortable grip and even has a gripping handle so if you have not so fine fine motor skills (as have I) it really does help with keeping a good grip on it!
