I own a lot of lights made by Coast.  While my favorite headlamp is their TPH25R model, this one is a close second.  Unlike a lot of lights out there that claim 1,000 gajillion lumens, Coast advertises a realistic number.  No, this isn't as bright as the sun at noon.  However, it's more than bright enough for practically anything a normal person would to use it for…camping, working on cars/trucks, electrical work, etc.  The headband is very comfortable, there are three brightness settings, it can zoom in and out, and there are red and green led's.  The one complaint I have are the two power buttons.  I find the placement of them is a bit awkward.  I'd prefer them on the sides or further back (closer to the headband) but it doesn't take too long to get used to where they're at.

The FL75R headlamp is comfortable on your head and durable. I have many of these headlamps and use them all the time. They are durable also rechargeable and the battery is long lasting. The focus beam feature works great. This headlamp is good for any task, work or outdoor adventures!

I received a present of your product at Christmas and had problems. After sending in my concerns, the only thing your company required was a photo as proof (no sales slip, not returning product) just......a photo. I was immediately sent a replacement at no charge. BEST SERVICE EVER.

SUPER SERVICE

I am currently running a fleet of 6 of these headlamps that gets used for at least 8-10  hours a day, 5 days a week.  They are bight and easy to use with the adjustable beam pattern.It allows us to focus the beam or flood an area with usable light. The rechargeable battery option has weaned us off tossing used battery's away. Even though we use these lights more than the average user, these have stood the test of time. When we do have an issue, the warranty with COAST has been excellent to deal with.

Hard Working Headlamp

You guys are great! I use various Coast lights for my lighting needs and if I have any issues,  you guys are prompt on resolving the issue. 

This is in contrast with Craftsman who claims to be big on warranties and customer service.  It takes a forensic defective to find where to file a warranty claim on their web site.  Then after approval of the claim, I've been waiting over two weeks for them to even ship the product. 

Excuse the ranting but I'm so use to having great service with you guys that it was bit of a shock dealing with Craftsman.

Coast customer service is heaven!

Auto technician by trade, headlamp works excellent and seems to light up the entire work area. Works excellent with undercarriages. I always have an extra battery charged up so I just have to swap batteries when it dies. I also have another identical headlamp that is always charged. I also use them for hunting, fishing, and camping. I love it and use it almost daily!!

Excellent headlamp!

Great headlamp, nice and bright, rechargeable battery lasts a long time. I love this headlight, I repair major appliances and I use it all day long, my only issue is that I sweat a lot and if the headlight gets wet from perspiration the switch no longer works. Thank goodness for the lifetime warranty, they really stick behind their products.

Product warranty is real

Great light! Have owned several coast headlamps, first time with the FL75R. New battery last longer and it's extremely bright! Only thing I don't light is you have to press button twice to get brightest light. I'd buy another!

Would buy again!

Really impressed with the amount of light, but two issues. One is that the battery compartment on each of the two units I purchased is extremely hard to open. Almost needs some kind of small tool, like a tiny screwdriver. Not going to be pleasant on a cold day. The second issue is that the switch is sensitive. Doesn't take much to turn it on. Worried that stuffed in a rucksack it could turn on accidentally and drain much of the battery.

I have purchased 3 of these and used them daily.. problem is they all eventually stay on or can't be turned on.. physically they have held up but the circuit board shorts out or chip malfunctions..  I have also purchased 3 FL75 non rechargeable headlamps and they had the same issues.. I gave this product 2 stars  because I did really like them when they were working..
